Looks like any minute now for you! :)

I thought that was the case, but the embassy changed my filing date to October 4th although my NOA1 says October 3rd. Only a days difference but will likely delay it a week now so very frustrating.

So based on that the embassy has suggested formal notification should be received by Monday or Tuesday next week.

Oh I'm really sorry to hear that. How did you come by that information by the way? Did you contact them or the other way around?

I contacted them as we aren't sure if the marriage certificate we originally got with the courts will be accepted so was keen to find out if we needed to send a new copy in ASAP.

They never addressed the discrepancy with the date they had and the one on our receipt, just said we will be processed this week now. All part of the visa game I guess, just swallowing the set backs and getting on with it.

Well, at least we are all going through it together. So you're not alone.

Good news is it looks like yours should be done now! Just have to wait for the letter :)

Sorry to hear it's slowed down again this week.

I received an RFE yesterday as 3 questions were left blank rather than us putting "not applicable". Can't believe such a minor and stupid mistake is going to cost us more time.

Answers to questions will be there on Monday but no idea how long they will take to process that now...

I've heard other stories that suggest you'll be processed immediately they receive your response now that you've got to the top of the pile. We shall prevail!

I've heard this, too. That it's processed VERY quickly when you respond to the RFE

No news from embassy for me, they still haven't replied to an email I sent on Tuesday morning to try and find out if the RFE affidavit was delivered to them.

Slow down to Christmas I'm assuming...

Hearing nothing and not being able to do anything to push it forward is incredibly frustrating. I have a job out there that is supposed to start beginning of Feb, that's not going to happen now but how much further I can push my start date back I'm not sure, plus in the meantime from the middle of January I'll have no income anymore as I've had to hand in my notice at current job.

Sorry, rant over, just very annoyed that all I can do is wait.

Your frustration is completely understandable. For example, when we started this process we were expecting to be done by the beginning of November. Well, they slowed down, and by the time we got our case number, the earliest interview was January 3rd (2 months out!) So we took it. Now some of the prices are going up, so the process is costing us even more. Not because we took a long time, but because they are.

I do want to point out that I respect that they have a lot of work to do, and appreciate what they have to do to keep our country safe (I'm USC). It's just frustrating how much it affects our lives in the meantime.

So, after we booked my husbands interview I noticed that there is an option to request an expedited interview. Maybe this could be an option considering you have a job to start? Just a thought ?

I feel your pain Steve. When we went through this in the other direction to get my wife to the UK in 2012, what I can say is that the waiting and the paperwork and the fees were instantly forgotten when she arrived at Heathrow. Your journey will be over in a month or two and you can put all this behind you forever.
