I864 question

I know that my household size is 2 as the family is just me and my husband. So according the I-864P, my husband is suppose to make $20,025 this year. However, since he has only went back to the states in April this year, he certainly has not made enough. I know that we can combine our assets, such as money in bank, stock or bond certificate, and such. If I am correct, then amount of assets should be $20,025 minus income times 3?

I had been informed by some other friends of mine before that, the 3 times the amount of the difference between the minimum and the income, is because I'm the spouse of the petitioner (and also intended immigrant), then I am able do 3 times the different.

Is your husband on track for earning $20,025? If it's a new job you can use a letter from the employer and pay stubs to show that his job makes the equivalent of $20,025 annually.

Yes, for assets they need to be 3 times the difference for spouses. So, if you are $5000 short on income, you need assets of at least $15000. Note that assets must be easy to cash in and not cause any hardship if sold/released. For example, your husband cannot count his home or car of he only has one home and one car. If he has two cars or homes then he can count one of them.
