Form i-693 RFE after interview

Hi all!

I just want to know about our RFE. Everything went fine in the interview. We received today an RFE stating that pages 3, 6 and 7 left blank by the CS. Do I need to do a medical examination again? I had my form i693 transcribed with a CS and I am confused about the RFE.

When adjusting from a K-1, you should not have to get another medical if your K-1 medical was done within a year of filing for AOS. However, some immigration officers do not seem to know the policies regarding AOS from a K-1. Some are asked for a new medical, and some are correctly not asked. You now have 2 choices: 1) Send them a copy of the USCIS policies, state your case that you are not required to get a new medical, and risk denial. 2) Comply, get the new medical and get your green card approved.

A couple of people have recently been successful in pointing out the USCIS policies for K-1 adjusters when receiving an RFE, and were approved without the need for a new exam.

Thank you for the info KayDeeCee.. I and my husband will talked about that. I was just thinking that the IO wanted me to do the medical examination again because I had my sputum test and done the treatment here in USPHS.. maybe, that is the reason they wanted me to take again?

It is possible. Without the IO stating why you were needed to do another medical, then you may never know exactly what their reasoning was behind it.

That's true. It is a bit risky. I guess we will just do what the IO wanted. It's just so sad but we just want this to be done. Thank you for your help!

me and my husband have our interview on November 17th and I finished my medical on October 19th and when i read I was just wanna make sure that when it says that you dont have to do it again unless when its less then a year. So i am wondering when it said it does it mean 1 year of the actual medical or the day of Filing cuz i sent mine off in February so am i within the year or not ?

K and V nonimmigrants applying for adjustment of status are not required to repeat the medical examination if the application was filed within one year of the date of the original medical examination, and:​

•The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition

If your medical was in Oct. 2015, and you sent your I-485 in Feb. 2016, then you filed within a year of your K-1 exam.
