Hello everyone,

we are preparing all the evidence to submit the I-751 this month and it would be really appreciated if someone could give some advise in the following:

1. Husband owns the house where we live but wife is not in the tittle, he got the house years before our marriage and we decided to keep things that way until we get a new house together. we are sending as evidence PG&E statements with both of our names on it, copy of driving license with same address, correspondence and bills to prove that we live together. would that be enough or what would you recommend us for our case?

2. Can you use clips to organize papers?. I used sticky tabs at the bottom of the papers as recommended by USCIS, but for the bank statements for example i would like to use clips for easy access month to month (I cant use more tags for this as I already have too many, thought about use tags on the sides but USCIS doesn't want anything on the sides for easy filling)

3. Could you please check our cover letter and advise if we are missing something?

Thank you so so much for your help in any of these questions :)

I agree with Cookiecat. I also solely owned our house and it was no problem.

Why are you sending a copy of the credit cards? That wouldn't seem necessary if you are sending statements. I don't know about yours, but our credit card statements have separate areas on them for which transactions are attributed to that particular user of the card.

Thank you so much Cookiecat & N-o-l-a, this community is so great!

1. Do you think it's necessary to add a paragraph and explain the house situation or just leave it as it is:

Nature of the Submission: I-751 JOINT PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE OF

xxxx, A# xxxx

To whom it may concern:

Enclosed please find a JOINT I-751 petition for removal of conditions of permanent resident status regarding xxxxxxxxx. We got married on mm/dd/yyyy. Adjustment of Status to Conditional Permanent Residence was awarded on mm/dd/yyyy. We are happily living together and jointly request that this petition be accepted for removal of conditions on the residence of xxxxxxxx.

Contents Include:

1

2

3

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and we understand that we may be required to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular officer at a later date. Please advise us if you have any further questions or concerns related to this petition.

Should I add something like, "Please note you will not find a joint tittle for our house or a lease agreement as the house was bought by xxxxx, years before our marriage. Nevertheless, please reference to section 3.2 to find other substantial evidence of common residence"

2. I have a big ACCO fastener, sticky tags on the bottom with the index numbers and was planning to use some clips to separate bank statements from one period to another

3. By phone records I meant my phone bill with all the calls to/from my spouse highlighted in yellow.

I decided to put this as evidence same as emails not to prove co-mingling but to prove an on-going relationship and also acknowledgment of relationship from others. I know it looks kind of silly but my thought was the more information the better.

(I'm also sending letters and/or greeting cards addressed to both of us to prove common residence, that's part of what I called correspondence and bills in section 3.2.2)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Some people will say that you shouldn't include the paragraph about the house in the cover letter, but I included a sentence or two about it on ours. I figured it reduced the chance of an RFE for it.

Just a very small correction: I think what you mean to say in English is "attend a friend's wedding" not assist. Also, it's more common to say "in 2015"not "on".

Otherwise, looks good to me.

Good luck!

You already have a lot of good primary evidence of commingling of finances. You could think of adding a Life Insurance naming the other person as the beneficiary, Will, Advanced Medical Directive, etc. You should drop the emails and phone records. You can include the phone bills if they are in joint names (showing your home address).

Your item #3 says "evidence of bonafide marriage". What is that? If you mean the marriage certificate, they already have it. Don't need to send it.

Thanks to all of you!

Evidence of Bona fide Marriage is everything listed below #3

I have a last advice to request

I just thought about our home insurance, unfortunately, it is the first time I thought about it and went and double check and I wasn't listed there, so from today on I'm listed and i got the policy from 11/10/16 to 11/10/17. should I included on the papers im sending or not? is it going to look bad because I didnt have it for the past 2 years and no I got it 10 days before sending all these docs?

What do you think?
