Got my NOA on November 21st and did biometrics on January 13th. No movement of any kind so far, but I'm getting antsy about getting my EAD so that I can keep myself occupied and contribute more. I'm also in the museum/heritage/culture field and I have a feeling that government funding is going to be absolutely decimated in the coming months, so I'd like to be able to get a start somewhere before that happens.

It definitely helps to follow along with a thread like this, though! Seeing other people get updates after similar waiting periods does a lot to put things in perspective and make you feel less forgotten.

it's so nerve-wracking to see Visa Journey processing date for EAD to be 11/4, and our date being the same. The nerves are worse than when we were only a few days away! Now I'm like where is ours! Haha...

Haha I can only imagine! Quick question....Visa Journey processing date is from the date the case was received or the notice date? (My case has a gap of 16 days so it is a big difference lol)

see the following FAQ link from this site: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Notice_of_Action_(NOA)

The received date is the date it is entered into the system. The notice date is when the letter is printed. I've been using the received date. I mailed my applications on 10/31, received 11/4.

Now you have me second guessing myself. Input later date and now it says estimated 2/5-2/9 on the site. Haha I don't care anymore - this process is nuts. Based on this we should probably hear something within the next week. Maybe this will stop me from checking the website so often.

You don't enter the received date in VJ only the date filed. This is what it counts from. Just check someone in the October thread that already was approved ;)

I have put in the same dates as I did during the i-129f process. There it says "i-129f sent" this is the day I sent it... I have considered this the same as the filed date i.e the day I file/send it is the same day.

Then there is the received date which yes they input into the system, but there is no field for entering this in VJ. Then there is the NOA date...  The timeline processing data counts from the filed date.

Technically I sent it on 10/31, filed date was 11/4, and receipt date is 11/18. If it was based on my "sent" date I should have definitely been approved bt now. They are currently on 11/5 - as estimated by this site. But obviously that is not all exact.

I probably just did it this way cause of the i-129f... Had I not gone through that process maybe I'd put it differently :P

Putting the sent date makes no logical sense really... You are ofc right that the filed date should be the date they received it. I will change it so it will be more correct for the process.

The date that is counted is still this date though... towards the processing timeline on VJ.

Just 1 day difference for me, sent it overnight
