AOS November 2016 Filers

We filed and they received it on Nov 17, the same day we got the NOA1 in the mail we also got his bio apt as well for December 9, still nothing. Our status hasn't changed either online other then the fee was received. Here is to hoping things change soon. I was wondering though with trying to track his AOS the field office was never listed or received a letter stating where it would be sent as well. This means it stays with NBC or where we went for his bio apt?

There are now 3 EAD approvals with November NOA1 dates.  Looks like they are running right under 90 days.  The USCIS processors should be well rested from the three day weekend and posting some approvals today!

How are we supposed to count the 90 days? from the day they received it or when we got the online notification? Are they calendar days? Holidays and weekends count?

I count from the NOA1 date printed on the letter you received.  It is calendar days including holidays and weekends.

Try to live your "today" and enjoy it as much as you can That's how I see my life this new year  I spent December crying and frustrated and it wasn't fun.

Oh wow 6 months! I spent December crying too lol! But yeah I started to read and that's pretty much everything I do now! I would love to learn ASL too, what is the website you use? Youtube?

Yeah Now I make a check list everyday and I feel that I've done a lot! lol I use lifeprint.com I trust the webpage because a truly deaf person made it and he worked really hard to put it together. It gives you so many insights that you learn a lot in a short period of time  You should check it out.

^^^ This is good advice.  My husband goes to classes at the public library.  They offer all kinds of free classes, computer, job prepare, etc.  At our main library they offer classes to immigrants to help with english, citizenship test, etc.  My husband has met some friends.  He enjoys going and has learned our public bus system too.

There are volunteer opportunities too at local hospitals, homeless shelters, women's shelters, etc.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!! I am so happy for him! I found English classes for $30 per semester, but they ask for a green card  so no no for me. And the public transportation here sucks it takes me 3 hrs by bus while I can do it in 40min by car. (or is just how the public transportation is everywhere?)

Check with your library and/or some public schools offer adult education classes.

Wow I didn't even think to check for classes because I supposed it would be expensive! 
And same here transportation sucks! 2 hours by bus while I could do 20 minutes by car! So I'm waiting to have a car =)

All right, I had my interview this morning and now need to wait for the final decision. She said she has to check some stuff and if everything looks good I can expect my GC in 4 weeks. 

 

For or some reason she didn't had my fringerprints on file (I was at my biometrics at the 27th of December) so she needed to look into this as well. 

 

I really don't know how to feel now. I'm happy that it's over but I'm also back to the waiting game.

Totally. I just wait until I can get a free spot at the local Starbucks. Everything is crowded and nobody seems to move so I have to type in my phone  

 

But basically she asked me questions about the I-485 and also about my studies. She first was a little "cold" when she asked me questions but later when she said good by she seemed to smile and wished me all the best for my future.

Yeah check at the library, or even high schools offer English classes for adults, usually for free or very low cost. 

And as far as I know the city that has really great public transport is NYC lol, everywhere else is hit or miss. It sucks here in southern California too, a car is literally needed to go anywhere. ?
