Right.. I knew I heard that... but when I was looking at the timelines they don't reflect that.. as Lioness pointed out.. I suppose this is the reason I felt so confused by this... and the i-485 isn't listed at the uscis processing times for NBC.. so it is quite confusing atm..

Hello November filers! So our 485 status just changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"  Our local office is Washington DC but we had no interview We are adjusting from K1 visa.

It's not listed there because it wasn't their normal procedures. Since cases are no longer being transferred to CSC what's the point in sending them to local field offices if they find that the interview isn't necessary for some cases..

NBC is in Lee's Summit, Missouri. They received all cases and make sure every required documents is available before transferring to field offices or to be processed there for the onces that doesn't require an interview.

I'm becoming crazy! I've been here for 3 months and a half, started the process two months ago and it's just so hard to be stuck at home all day long! I want to work and I never thought I would say that one day lol! 

I just needed to vent to you guys because we are all on the same boat and I know you undertand me lol! I feel like I can't start having a life until then! 

I really hope it will go fast! I haven't hear anything yet since my biometrics in mid December but fingers crossed for everyone =D

Im in San Diego too. According to USCIS processing times for the local field office, as of October 31 they were processing cases from march. :( 

 

I saw that a K-1 from October said they received the green card already, no interview. So I guess there's a slight chance that could be any of us. They said their status changed in mid November to "ready to be scheduled for an interview", didn't get notice of EAD or AP, and they just got the GC in the mail. 

 

There's hope!!

I've been here for 6 months and started the process two months ago...so imagine how I feel lol last month was tough, but now I just keep my mind busy doing plenty of things, learning ASL online, reading more, etc. Just keep yourself busy and feel accomplish of the things you are doing...instead of waiting for the day you can finally get a job. Try to live your "today" and enjoy it as much as you can :) That's how I see my life this new year :)  I spent December crying and frustrated and it wasn't fun.

^^^ This is good advice.  My husband goes to classes at the public library.  They offer all kinds of free classes, computer, job prepare, etc.  At our main library they offer classes to immigrants to help with english, citizenship test, etc.  My husband has met some friends.  He enjoys going and has learned our public bus system too.

There are volunteer opportunities too at local hospitals, homeless shelters, women's shelters, etc.
