Our AOS interview will be at St Louis office, which is the slowest in the country. we probably have to wait about a year for our interview. Since we just got married in October, 2016, we needed some time anyway to prepare documents to show our was a bonafide marriage.

Can anyone please help us with this:

My wife and I don't have joint accounts yet, we will add each other in our accounts this month. My wife has her mother as a joint account holder in her bank accounts, do we need to remove her mother from the bank account or it's a non issue?

Hello, i finally received the letter (RFIE) and i am confused as heck, maybe someone help me figure out what exactly do we need to send them back. It saying like this :

''1)The petitioner lists their current income on form I-864 as an amount to be considered as sufficient;

however, no evidence has been submited as proof of current income . ( this is an easy fix, we got it, we have the letter from employer )

2) Submit all supporting tax documentation (w2s, 1099s, form 2555, and all supporting tax schedules) submitted to IRS for the most recent tax year

and finally 3) Based on the documents submitted with frm I-864, the income did not meet 125% of the poverty guideline for the petitioner household size

So, on the first point they're saying it's enough (like an idea, it's like $50.000 yearly for 3 persons including my wife) and after that they are saying that she's not meeting the 125% ... really ?

Any help will he appreciated.

What did you send with your original packet? From what you wrote it seems wither you didn't send enough supporting documents or they lost the ones you sent.

If the sponsor/spouse makes enough on their own, I'd respond with:

new i864 filled out completely (be sure after printing that you have everything filled, don't delete sponsors name in part 11 or else it will delete elsewhere and that made some people get rfe);

tax transcripts for the last 3 years with w2;

last 6 months pay stubs.

If if there's a joint sponsor, they need their own set of proof (same as I listed above) plus proof of us citizenship or lawfully residency.

Several November filers got similar rfe's Boo. .. the last point is automatically generated when there is not enough proof of income.. it doesn't mean she doesn't make it, just that there wasn't enough evidence to support it. Another thing that had happened to LionessDeon is that the household size wasn't registered correctly. She had filled it in electronically but it wouldn'T let her fill in the total persons box and another box too I think (happened to me too but no rfe so far) so she filled those by hand...when they scan the 2D barcode that apparently doesn't register...  so as well as sending in the evidence make sure the household size is entered correctly. As I said the 3rd point don't worry about that.

And yea...what evidence did you send?

You got this Boo :)

I´m doing.... okay...I feel like I can't complain, but ugh! I don't really understand why they do it this way... There are so many steps and so much time before you can function in society when you come here as a K1...
