Biometrics was extremely uneventful.  Drove over an hour for an appointment that took less time than getting through security.  Our appointment was at 3pm.  They close at 3:30pm.  There was no one in there except us and the workers.  All they asked for was his passport.

No... :( that's why we are getting ready to send them certified copies of taxes from the accountant for 2013, 2014, 2015 with w2's included this time. no more transcripts

That's why because the transcripts could be fake in there eyes. so the only way to prove that it was accurate was to send the W2 along with them.  It's an easy fix...

Hey I was wondering how long it takes after the biometrics appointment to get the EAD and notifications for the AOS
Mine was on December 14th and still nothing moved, I don't know if it's a normal time for process or not! I'm in Portland Oregon!

Mine's Portland, OR too and I did biometrics on December 21. My status for I-485 changed to "case ready to be scheduled for interview" a week ago... the EAD/AP stayed the same ?

I don't think it was the fact of sending tax transcripts.  They prefer those over the tax return because it proves they were filed with the IRS, a simple copy of the tax return does not.

I think it is the fact that you did not send in W2s along with the tax transcript.

I sent tax transcript, W2, letter from employer to prove income.  Did you send all 3 of these?

ARGH!! Just got a letter for a biometrics appointment for EAD TOMORROW!! Fortunately, I should be able to make it as hubby off work, but talk about short notice!!!!

I actually wasn't expecting it though because I thought it was only necessary to have fingerprints done once.... I did biometrics in Atlanta just recently (12/29) for AOS.  Is this normal to get a separate one for EAD?? Has anyone else received their biometrics for EAD?? should I also expect one for AP?? and does this mean that I don't have any RFEs or can this still happen later??

Thanks!

**UPDATE**  I just looked at the letters again.  The first one was actually for AOS and EAD.  The second one (printed 20 days later) is for EAD.  Any thoughts??

Sometimes they can't read the fingerprints well enough when putting it through the security databases.. I've seen it happen, not often, but regularly. Don't worry, you should be fine :)

No spouse is not supposed to be dependent... you can file Married file jointly and add an elective statement to treat you as a tax resident for the whole of 2016.. That will be good evidence for AOS, give you two exemptions and as I recently learned you can then also get the foreign earned income exclusion using the physical presence test... for your earned income back in your home country...
