I can now confirm that there is no update in the USCIS web page after they send the biometrics letter!!! :) :) :)

I just got mines :') it says Notice Date: 12/17/2016. (online status didn't change)

The appointment is Jan 6th and because is Friday, hubby will have to skip work that day.

I am really happy about it, but still it doesn't mean that I can´t get an RFE later on so I will wait and see what happens.

In the letter says that Cellphones are not allowed. Has somebody walked in with a phone?

Hi, We did our biometrics last Dec 7 in S Semoran Blvd in Orlando office. My husband reminded me and the kids to leave all our cellphones and gadgets in the car, the funny part is when we are already checking in with security he forgot his cellphone was in his pocket and eventhough he is willing to go back outside to put it in the car the security said it was ok and let him in but told him just dont use it while inside.. but then again im not 100% sure if this is always the case :)

Me and my husband went in with our phones too they don't say anything but they do want them turned off or out of sight.

Short update here.

Today I went to do my biometrics. I was scheduled to the 06th of January but I tried to do a walk in and it worked out fine (Los Angeles, La Brea Office).

Everybody was super nice and relaxed. I asked the guy at the front desk if it is possible to do a walk-in. No problem. I filled out the paperwork which is done in 2 minutes and waited until my number got called.I had two people in front of me and I maybe waited 5 minutes until my number got called.

After the photo I had to do the signature - which is impossible to write in a nice way (looks like a child) - and then they took my fingerprints.

Everything took me 20 minutes and was super easy.

Well, I guess now the wait for the interview is on :)

My wife had her biometrics appointment yesterday in Bartlett (Memphis), TN. The appointment was for 12:00, but we arrived at 10:30. I told the gentleman at the front desk that we were early, and he said "No problem." She filled out the form and waited for about 2 minutes before being sent to another area for fingerprints. There was only one person ahead of us.We were finished in 15 minutes.

They did say that if you brought in your cell phone, make sure it is turned off.

We're ticking off Bios one after the other! :) Nice to see. I wonder when the non-expedited November EAD's will start to see movement.... I'm praying the VJ timeline is somewhat accurate...I'm starting to go stir crazy... :jest:

Received NOA hardcopy exactly two weeks ago, but no Biometrics appt letter yet, is that normal? I saw most of you received it around a week after NOA. Anyone have the same issue? Thanks!

Yes, it is completely normal. Our NOA1 date is 12/7/16 and we just received our biometrics letter 12/23/16.

Also think about Christmas and the days in between the years which slow down things typically. On top of that the fees where raised so much more people might have take the chance to send stuff in before the fees go up.

I would say you are totally on track. :)

NOA1 date is the date they verify that they received your application :) which will generally be the date you are notified by email. This date is also stated in the snail mail receipt :D

btw welcome!
