Oh, so if they can calculate your score, you should be fine registering.

I had an AA (by the S&P scale) rating with my bank in Brazil, but unfortunately I have to start from scratch in here. But I got approved for an unsecured card with no fee and rewards, so I'm happy.

Maybe if you have a lower interest rate now, it wouldn't be a good idea rolling over the auto loan, as the different credit types account for only 10% of the score and is the least important factor. I'm assuming since the loan now is for your MIL, since she has a better credit rating her rate is most likely lower. But then again, sometimes banks offer lower rates than dealerships overall, so you have to compare and see.

This is a good video on how the scoring system in the US works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrwdJ_1jdVk

I may be assuming a bit.... but I have a good education and I should be able to get a higher paying job than she has even of I get a rly bad one for my field... she has a good score due to good payment history but her income to credit ratio is quite low...

I also put all my savings at BoA so I will be in their preffered program which gives discount on auto loans... ofc will not roll it till I get a better interest than the current :) I've looked a lot at how the credit works already so I feel prepared in that department.

But you know... nothing is for sure...it might aswell take a long time to get a good job, and then I'll have to change my plan ofc... we will see... I'm prepared to work hard for this no doubt :)

I'm assuming AA is top notch? In Sweden credit rating doesn't exist...it's more about your ability to pay with cash depending on income and job security if you get loans and such...

I got my biometrics letter today! ?? Appointment is on January 6.

Now, I have a dilemma. I have purple hair! ? **which I will of course dye back to my original color when I start applying for jobs** Mind you it's a dark purple that looks reddish in photos.

And I'm not sure if I should dye it now before I get my photographs taken at the biometrics appointment, or if it will be fine ?

I had an attorney fill out my applications and I asked her about this, she said uscis doesn't care what color my hair is lol and that it should be fine, but I'm just not sure what to do. I bought a cheap wig anyway just to wear for the photographs. I guess my only concern is I don't want to seem silly and "unprofessional" in an official ID ? (even though my hair is lilac in my current passport photo and I've had no problems whenever I show it).

Do I leave it purple and just put it in a ponytail or do I wear the wig? ??

Is it a good wig? :P

In Brazil each bank has it's own rating system for their customers, and if you miss a payment THEN you're reported to Serasa Experian (a local Experian branch) and SPC (like a government Experian).

It was an excellent rating, would be equivalent to a FICO somewhere between 800-825.

It's a bit saddening having to rebuild everything from scratch.

Is it a good wig? :P

It is, it's 100% human hair and doesn't look like an obvious wig. What I don't like is its shoulder length and my hair is very long (which I prefer), but it was cheap and I'll never wear it for anything else so it's whatever. ?

I also think USCIS won't care about what's your hair color. But if you want to have an ID with your natural hair color, go for it :)

I'd say just go with whatever you're more comfortable with, I don't think it'll matter what colour your hair is in the picture. :)

They only leave the SSN blank in the letter to protect your privacy, as identity theft is a huge issue in the US.

Yes, you keep the same number for life, you only make updates on your record as you change name/immigration/citizenship status.

The ASC doesn't need and won't request your SSN to take in the biometrics.

Ohhh that makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the info :)

Awesome! I'd prolly go with that. I know it shouldn't matter...but employers will look at it and IF there's a chance that they'll not like purple hair (I think this is mostly in the past though :) ) I understand why you're thinking about it.

Yeah, it won't impact biometrics, I believe. RFEs can come in any stage. They can ever revert a previous approval if they later find out they needed something else from you.
