One question: What are you all doing about health insurance coverage? The deadline is this week and we are ready to apply for joint coverage (soooo expensive!!) but I just wanted to see if anyone here is doing otherwise??

My wife was covered under her parent's insurance, but when I looked at health insurance for just me it was more expensive than getting one for both of us through her work! So we just ended up doing it through them.

Yeah it's crazy! In the UK healthcare is free because of the NHS, it's weird to go from never thinking about it to the prices they charge here.

Dark Souls games are really hard aren't they? I remember my old flatmate raging super hard over the first game xD

Yeah, they are hard with a steep learning curve, but at the same time they're fair and rewarding because you have to overcome challenges to win and progress in the game. Plus there are endless combinations on how to build your character and it's play stile will vary greatly between players. I love it!

It's sad. She is used to living in metropolises with at least 10-15 million residents and a complete mass transit system. Now she lives in a town of 4000 and does not know how to drive!

Yes, the NBC processes the applications until they're ready for interview, at this point it's forwarded to the local field office. They can also waive the interview and approve without transferring (sometimes they transfer it to CSC for that, but not always).

Biometrics appointment done. The only issue was the receptionist told us only to list the pre-married name on the paperwork. Wrong. List all past names. A supervisor had to review it through their system and approve. They were looking for her birth last name and it wasn't on the form we had filled out. Also, bring your marriage certificate. You may need it like we did.
