It can be before or after biometric..

Guys I have a question; if uscis deems necessary to ask for more evidence, would they send an RFE before or after they send the biometrics letter/appointment?

Hello November filers! So our 485 status just changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"  Our local office is Washington DC but we had no interview We are adjusting from K1 visa.

I got my NOA1s and my biometrics letter in the mail today. Appointment is set for the 19th in Aurora :thumbs:

What's everyone doing to pass the time while you're waiting on your EAD?

Again, sorry it didn't work and thanks for sharing. I asked cause some seem to have had more success later in the day, but this seems to have not been even a consideration in your case. I did have a medical reason, so I can't say if it would have worked for me if I didn't either. Some are just stricter, partially due to how busy they are I assume.

At least it's only a week away, and you'll have it done soon.

Hi together,

I also start getting worried about my AOS application. I got chosen for the green card through the Diversity Visa Programm (F1 at the moment). I send my AOS package on the 16th of November. They have received it on the 17th. Until today I got no text/mail or hard copy.

In a previous post somebody got it last Friday and they received it a day before mine. So maybe it's still on track?!

Just nerv wracking and I need somebody to speak to :(

Hi !! I just wanted to give an update maybe this could help others too.

So I've been in contact with my congressman because I requested an expedite and unfortunately they were informed that I got an RFIE, which has not been updated on my file yet but my congressman sent me the letter so I can respond to it ASAP. So my guess is they would probably send the RFIE letter after the biometrics appointment because I called them and they said it hasn't showed up on my file yet. Regardless I'm sending it back tomorrow once I get all the evidence they requested in order. Just an FYI to anyone that was wondering.

Thank you for the information. May I ask what your RFE was for?

Of course! They requested the petitioner/sponsor on form i-864 submit a complete federal income tax return for the most recent tax year. I already sent a copy of them but maybe they got mixed up wanted something else idk. but I ordered the ones off of the IRS website so I'll just send those too and hopefully that's it! Anyways I'll let you know ! But I'm pretty sure I won't even receive the letter for the RFE until after my biometrics which is annoying but thankfully my congressman got in touch with them so I could respond a little quicker.

I don't get why people want to walk in to do the bio sooner is there a reason case wont move faster or will it?

Yes that's what I did for the RFE today. Got them all from the IRS website because they didn't like my copies for whatever reason... Now back to waiting lol love RFE's :no: How are you doing??

I've heard that it doesn't make a difference. I had a medical reason. I think most ppl just want to do everything that they can by themselves as soon as possible in the hopes that it MIGHT go faster.
