I received 4 text and emails from USCIS.

My NOA1s

So one question as they had just accepted my forms. That means no RFE was found needed?

No that's not what it means.

It means they have accepted your package, they don't send packages back unless the fee is incorrect. If something is missing or they need additional documents that's when you get an RFE...

Acceptance means your application passed simple checks that it had the minimum data to be input on the system. That means correct fee, signature, essential data filled out on the form. It got the green light for processing, but no assessment on sufficiency for approval was made. An adjudicator can still issue a RFE or RFIE if deemed necessary during the procedure.

Exactly.

Ooohhhh...an insider.. :D your bros friend's friend must come in handy! ;)

Thank you a lot for sharing that with us :) That's a very thoughtful gesture for everyone waiting :)

Not really, of course she's not allowed to say anything and I wouldnt ask her even check our case, I wouldnt want to jeopardize anything. She does work at the lockbox and just happened to know that the week of Thanksgiving they were moving really slow and she suggested we dont count that week as productive or as actual wait time that was all. I shared bc I know a lot of us shipped package that week and it was received 11/14-18. Now we just have to keep waiting, I hope we get something before this week is over.

Hey Guys,

I am newbie to this page, still need to make my timeline. But I would have an important question, if you could help me with. My husband (yes just got married a couple days ago :goofy: ) are about to file all the AOS I-485 package, but we are debating about the address issue. His physical address is in Milwaukee, but right now for a couple months we are staying in Virginia. So we are not sure which address to write. Will it be a problem if we write his physical address, can they actually "come" and check if we are really there? I know that probably our biometrics will be addressed to there, but to change his address would be a lot to change and to change it back..And as I read we would need to inform the USCIS about the address change in 1 days right? Thanks for your help in advance!

The field office that handles your biometrics and interview (if necessary) is determined by your address. If you list the virgina address and in 2 months are no longer there for biometrics, etc you could have quite a drive if they don't get your address change in time. If the real address is in Milwaukee and you are just visiting VIrginia then you are just visiting. No one is going to come check where you are staying before biometrics and interview.

I, personally, am all about keeping things simple. If it were me, I would hold off a bit on sending in AOS filings. Then use the Milwaukee address when sending the forms in, so that by the time biometrics appt is made you know you will be back there and all is well. Assuming you will be living in Milwaukee on a regular basis.

Wasn't at all suggesting that you'd ask anything specific for your case. Just like in this case it gave some piece of mind knowing in general there was a lot right then...

Ugh back to Dayquil and soup... *cough*

Thanks! No, actually that is his mom's address right now, and we will plan to move to somewhere else, which makes it a bit more complicated. But at least closer to Milwaukee. So you think if we still gave the Milwaukee address, it should be fine?

We will probably be here in Virginia until March, btw.

Well March is a long time to wait to file. If you file soonish it may be best to do biometrics there in VA and use that address, then change address and finish up in Milwaukee. IDK, your decision.

One of them :) Yay!

Even so, thank you for acknowledging. I've read so much about health insurance since... (u can be proud I used the Google :P ) BUT it's sooo complicated from what I'm used to and really really expensive.. I'll ask in the specific forum when I have more specific questions for it... But most of the plans cost half of what we pay in rent monthly... I feel like I'm missing smth... o.0
