Hi all,
My PD is November 7, 2016
My interview is scheduled for September 25th, at Des Moines filed office
Can I get any advice for what items/documents to take to the interview?

Hey got my interview today, was approved, they request a medical, since gonorrhea test was missing, however my officer said once it's completed and sent back am all set.  She was very nice.  She didn't ask any question, only went over ther i130 n i1485 questions.  Only thing we had together was a child and life Insurance and pictures.... and that was it. 😊😊😊  good luck sweetheart.

and thank you so much for sharing with me and us all. We have joint bank a/c, credit cards, Utility bills, Rental agreement starting 3 months before wedding date and some pictures. We had a court wedding with only 2 people attending, thats why I am little nervous

I will also update my experience once I get the interview done.

Hi, how long did you guys get the GC after you receive the "welcome to US" NOA?

My status showed that they mailed my card on September 1, but yet when I opened my mail box this morning, I only received the approval NOA instead of the actual card...

Any input from you guys is appreciated!

Just an FYI.  We went back to SS office yesterday to apply for a new SS card for my husband without the work authorization restriction printed on the card.  Not really sure how necessary it is to do that.  If you do decide to do this it is considered as a request for a replacement card.  Our local SS office has an automated kiosk that you have to enter the reason you are there requesting service.  If yours does as well the correct reason option is "replacement card".

Items requested were his passport, social security card, and greencard.  They also made a copy of the I-485 approval letter and asked him to verifiy some information.

was his SS card saying "Restricted to work under DHSS Authorization" ? I went to change my SS card after getting the EAD card, But they again gave me the card which mentioned the DHSS authorization restrictions, what is your opinion ?

The EAD is the DHS authorization, meaning you're only allowed to use your SSN for work if you also have an EAD

Once you receive your greencard you can go back to the SSA and have them remove the DHS authorization text on the SS card. Once you have your greencard they remove the DHS restriction as it's no longer needed.

There's no reason to go back to the SSA and request a new card after you receive your EAD, unless you want to change your name on the card.

I have interview on September 25th, if that goes well, maybe after couple of weeks (~October 15th) I will go to SSA to get my card replaced. I had EAD even before applying for AOS ( it was EAD from OPT, since I went to grad school here), but I went to replace my SSN card after I received EAD from the AOS process. Looks like I went too early, I should've waited until interview gets done.

Yes, you should've waited until you received your greencard.  Then you no longer need the EAD authorization card.  It's really not that big of a deal.  Your SSN never changes.
