We had our interview yesterday in San Diego.  We showed up at the office about 45 minutes early and went through security.  The officer called our name and we went into the interview together.  The case officer was very polite and professional; she sore us in and asked my wife to tell her about how we met and asked to see her passport.  My wife's passport expired since she arrived and we took the old one which had her K1 and old tourist visa in it (glad we did this)!  The case officer asked a lot of questions about my wife's travel into the USA (lifetime travel).  She wanted to know about each trip, the date, how long she stayed, and which visa she entered and exited with.  Some of this travel was more than 10 to 15 years ago and my wife didn't know the exact dates.  She asked about our wedding, who was there, where was it.... then she asked some (not all) of the questions on the I-485 form (have you ever committed a crime, harmed anyone, been in a paramilitary force, etc).  I showed her our tax return, bank statements, car insurance, health insurance, car registration.  I didn't print out photos and the case officer said she didn't want to look at the ones in my phone.  After that was all over, she made copies of my wife's passport and K1 visa and said we would have a decision within 30 days.  We were kind of disappointed not to get a decision on the spot.  The idea of waiting another month just seems frustrating :(.   We are hoping, like with others that have posted, that the decision comes in a couple days.

Haven't posted in here in a while, but had a question. So as of June 30,2017 our local office (Hartford, CT) is now processing cases (i-485) as of November 13, 2016. Our case was received October 31st. Anyone else in a similar situation? It seems odd to me that the processing time is a couple weeks past the date of our case and we still haven't received a notice for an interview. What do you think we should do, besides another case inquiry?

I wonder why they're the slowest where there're not that many immigrants or even Americans there!

I am still waiting as well, my field office (Denver) is apparently one of the slowest as well, just have to sit tight!

I've had no updates at all either, still sitting on 'Fingerprint fee was recieved'

My PD is Nov 14th, and it looks like the Denver office is processing September cases (if the online processing times are to be believed) so hoping for some progress soon

Hang in there everyone :)

Got about 5 text messages earlier today that our status had changed-- checked the USCIS website and our status was "Interview Complete, Case Under Review"  Then tonight... another text message--- "Card in Production"  We are in the home stretch!  Best of luck to all of the November filers for a quick approval-- especially to team Mexico and Team San Diego!

We've all gone through this process together.  We've shared frustration, triumphs, and the great process of waiting.  Thank you to all of you who have posted.  Just knowing others are going through the same thing was a great comfort and helped us through this process!  See you back here in two years!!! :)   And not a moment sooner!!! :)

Hello all,

We just received an updated status to our I-485 case number, saying "My new card is being produced", and that they ordered the new card.

But we never got an appointment for an interview. Did we skip ahead, or does this mean we'll be getting an appointment in the mail? I heard some people didn't have to go through it in the past, but I thought that was no longer applicable.

Are you possibly in San Diego? They have had a lot of cancellations these last couple of weeks. The reason USCIS gives is "unforseen circumstances".
