Someone knows what happens if you go before your appoiment for your biometrics appointment? I know my office is not busy at all, but not sure if affect the decision. Thanks

Hello November filers! So our 485 status just changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"  Our local office is Washington DC but we had no interview We are adjusting from K1 visa.

It just helps you clear that step faster, it may or may not make the whole case move faster.

Most cases, it doesn't provide a benefit but there's no harm either, so if you can and want to, no problem.

parents packets were delivered 11/19 and 11/21. no noa or check cashing yet. beginning to get a little concerned since moms i94 expires early jan.

04/2014 - Eligible for ROC

06/2014 - I-751 package filing joint with spouse sent

5 days to extension,37 days to biometrics, 172 days to CSC transfer, 247 days to Green Card

04/2015 - Eligible for Citizenship

09/2015 - N-400 package filing on basis of USC spouse sent

29 days to biometrics, 105 days to interview, 147 days to oath and US citizenship

~ 9 years and 6 months from first entry to US citizenship

The potential loss of a job is considered a severe financial loss to an individual, usually, so it fits the expedite criteria. You need to find an employer willing to wait for you to file the expedite request and get the EAD or green card, and that's also going to provide you with a job offer letter so you can request it.

I'll send applications, and if I'm called to interview and offered a job I'll leave to the employer's discretion then. I just feel that I don't have a whole lot to do and writing applications and potentially practice interviews is good for me in any case :)
