Had our I-485 interview yesterday. It was not fun. Didn't think we did well but our case status just updated to approved!  Thank God!  On the way home from the interview my husband got a call from one of the jobs he applied for and started work today.

Finallly, we can rest easy and take a much needed immigration break!!

Good Luck to you all!

Congratulations!  What kind of questions did they ask you to make you worry?

Thanks for sharing.

Go over the I-485 and G325. Almost all questions came from those. I got his mom's last name wrong (forgot she recently changed it).  He did not know my middle name. The IO would not let it go and asked 3x.  He couldn't remember our zip code.  He didn't know the name of my son's high school.

The interview didn't get off to a very good start because for some reason, when  I/O came into the waiting room and called my husbands name,  my husband just got up and walked through the waiting room into the hallway to the offices and left me in the waiting room packing up all the envelopes and stacks of paper we had brought.   The I/O kind of gave me a funny look. I think my husband was just nervous and anxious to get it over with but the IO definitely noticed that he didn't look back to even see if I was behind him Lol.   My husband doesn't ever act like that. I know he was just nervous. Afterward he apologized.  I was like ok Donald Trump 😂

We didn't get approved on the spot the I/O said he had to look it over. But it just updated in the case tracker to approved!

He went through our wedding pictures and asked for marriage evidence.   The only thing I had were seven months of bank statements in both of our names, evidence of him listed on my medical insurance, and him listed as a beneficiary on my pension.  He seemed impressed that some of my husbands family were at the wedding and that I had visited him 7x during our K1 process.

Yes.  Thank you.  It's been a long 3 year K1 journey for us.  Looking back I would not do a K1 again.  For us CR1 would've been much better.  Live and learn. At least we can relax for 2 years now.

HAHA !  Right!   Yes, I actually cried with relief.  There were so many times of sorrow and desperation for us.  We never gave up!  It was worth it, not fun, but worth it.  I feel like we can actually just live now.  Oh what will I do with no immigration to stress over??

You know I was thinking about that.  Like how can I remind myself about ROC.  The IO asked me about my home deed and if my husband's name was on it.  I was thinking about working on that this next year.  IDK

Relax....sounds like a foreign concept lol.  So excited we can go on the reggae cruise now!  My husband said he would only go if he had his greencard because he's worried about re-entry.

Again, so thankful for this site and everyone's support!

Same boat here. Got EAD in February and no news about the GC since January ( when they received the RFE response). It may be a good sign or not lol

Waiting for Interview since 12/29/2016.  No RFE's.

Have you checked the processing dates on the USCIS site for your office?

My lawyer said it's absolutely fine.

She said there was a case that set precedent and is not an issue anymore.

I have a three year overstay and plan to travel on the EAD in a month unless my green card gets here first.

We have had zero trouble crossing with the EAD/AP combo card. At the first crossing we had to go into the office so they could update our paperwork is all.

Is it possible that the update shows ready for interview but that the case is still at NBC and may get interview waived?

Also, some local field offices processing times are lengthy.

With that we received our I-485 approval letter today. Status shows card was mailed. So happy.   Hope you all get the same very soon.
