hi everyone,

first time poster here. Came on a K1 visa in October, filed for AOS in November. NOA1 recieved 30th Nov 2016, biometrics done 12/23. I received my combo card end of February, for the AOS it's been stuck on fingerprint fee recieved since 11/30, no RFE, getting super frustrated that it hasn't changed.

I'm in the same spot.  very frustrating as the approvals seem very random relative to the NOA1 dates.

Was wondering what the experiences have been like for those travelling cross-border with the EAD card with Advanced Parole.

My intention had been to stay patient and wait until the entire green card process was complete before travelling to Canada to visit family but now that it is taking longer than expected I'm getting antsy, especially about seeing my nephew on his 1st birthday!

Thanks for sharing!

Lorna

I am curious about this also.  Has anyone had any issues with this especially after trump  took over?

These are turning into weekly non-updates at this point.

Day 172:

I haven't heard anything from my congressman's office (last contact was a week ago when I told his liaison that I have nothing to help her speed things up beyond "...this is their mistake, though") or USCIS. I called today, explained the issue and that I was wondering about updates, and was put in a queue to get a call back from a tier 2 agent because "they can see that sort of information". Two hours later, said call back happened. I gave my name and case number, again, was put on hold for 8 minutes while he searched for my file, gave the rest of my information, and was asked what the problem is. I explained it, and the agent, who sounded like Bernie Sanders, crankily told me they don't have access to information. He asked if I have access to the internet and I resisted the urge to say "I do, as I'm not Amish". He very, very slowly explained the process of submitting a case inquiry and I told him that it isn't of much use to me because there's no option for the EAD. He then combined the instructions for a case inquiry with the instructions for how to submit an expedite request, but explained that they'll decide if my "claims" of it being their error are correct. I told him, again, that my case is already AT the expedite office, not because I filed for an expedite but because they've already openly admitted that its their mistake and pulled my file for that exact reason. He again told me to file an e-request, gave me incorrect information about that process, thanked me for calling and told me to have a nice day, and then literally grumbled to himself and hung up after I told him the same.

At least I was laughing when I recounted it all to my husband.

I'm at a loss. The expedite office is not living up to its name and there doesn't seem to be a single place or person on earth I can contact to get more information. Because of my horrific luck, my savings are now in dire territory (just before my husband's birthday, of course), so I'm extremely relieved that we're not at a point where he's worried too. He deserves all of the credit for keeping me calm and getting me to put things in perspective.

Still haven't contacted a senator because there are a lot of things that *I* want him and his office to be focusing on instead, but that's coming.

Honestly your congressman is probably the only one to get you an expedite... So definitely reach out! They are supposed to help people in their district so you don't have to worry about them focusing on other things.

My wife went to Mexico on her combo card.  She re-entered the USA via the Cross Border Express bridge from the Tijuana Airport to San Diego.  No issues at all.  She carried copies of her paperwork, our marriage certificate, the NOA1, etc.  No hassles so she never showed it.

looks like AOS and EAD is taking longer time than it was. I had my first Green Card in 2010 in 4.5 months. Now, it is taking a lot longer. Interesting.

Hi! I'm new here, sorry for my bad English haha ^_^ I'm from El Paso Texas, my priority date is November 3rd 2016 and I do not have an interview date yet, my I-485 status is "fingerprint fee was received". Does anyone know how much longer it will take to get my interview date here in Texas?

It varies a lot. I'm also a November filer . EAD/AP - 92 days, GC - 106 days

If you haven't yet gotten the update "ready to be scheduled for interview", your case is still at the NBC. You haven't filled in your timeline (please do), so I  can't see what you are adjusting from. If K1 you might still get direct approval. If another visa (not interview waivable) then, you might be waiting a while since most offices in Texas have a pretty long waiting time for interviews. You can check your local office for AOS in the VJ processing times section.

Oh, and there is nothing wrong with your English! :D

My parent's were and they got approved without interview, so if I were you, I'd be kinda happy that you never changed to "case ready to be scheduled for interview"

haha thank you. Your comment definitely made my day. The only concern is I adjust from F1 so I doubt I would be waived.
