Im praying but I hardly doubt that I'd get waived since Im adjusting from F1 visa. And F1 is not on the waiver list.

Oh... apologies as I just assumed it was a K1.  Either way though, you should hear something this month?

Check the processing dates for the local office (though not overly helpful) and remember you can infopass or request online/phone for an update once it's been 6 months since the "fingerprint fee received" update :-)

Our AOS has been "stuck" on Fingerprint Fee Received since November 16th.  We got the combo card in February and haven't heard anything.  It seems like a lot of you have gotten an interview or approved after our NOA2 date.  Is there anybody else still waiting from mid November for a status change?

Thanks!

Same here.

I am filing for both parents. Don't they process both applications together. I thought thats what the "are you petitioning for someone else at the same time?" question was for.

To anyone still waiting, my advice is to stay vigilant and be persistent, even if it feels like you're being annoying.

I contacted our congressman's office again today because we still haven't heard anything beyond that weird response to the service request we got. She told me to wait two weeks, which would technically be tomorrow, but I didn't want to wait because it usually takes USCIS a day to get back to them. I even apologized for bothering her again. As it turns out, I shouldn't have even waited the two weeks. She told me that, after some back and forth with NBC, they realized that my case was still listed as "waiting for response to RFIE", even though the online tracker had updated on *March 9th* to reflect that they'd gotten everything and that it was being processed again, because they'd never noted that on my actual file. This is also after they told her two weeks ago that everything had been accepted and that it could take up to 30 days to process. It's also after I had to call them 3 times to raise a service request, get them to correct their error, and tell them that there was still something wrong because the information they provided was incorrect. We've been sitting here since *March 9th* waiting for an update that likely wasn't going to come for a very long time because of their mistake and some pretty apparent incompetence.

The congressman's USCIS liaison said that the agent she spoke to is going to physically pull my file and take it to the expedite team. She's going to call again on Friday to see if my EAD has been adjudicated yet.

I'm very angry at a lot of people and experienced that weird combination of laughing and crying when I read her email because it's all so ridiculous. Fortunately it seems like this part is actually finally almost done.

Seriously. Be vigilant and be persistent.

That's unbelievable! I'm so sorry that happened to you, but omg! Imagine how long you could have waited had you listened to them! This is definitely the time to see the silver lining! Let's hope the rest is quick and smooth :)

I know! I have no idea how that kind of oversight can happen multiple times, but I'm somehow not surprised it happened to me. It was kind of an "...of course. Offfff course!" moment when I found out. The liaison at the congressman's office said that it's really rare, but it's not the first time she's "seen a file end up on the wrong shelf".

I guess the other bright side is that it might end up being helpful to someone else going through something similar. If it feels like something's not right and that your case is taking way too long, contact USCIS and your congressman and keep insisting that you want answers until someone actually gets to the bottom of things.

They should have offered you a "fast-track" for the ROC process as compensation :D

I won't lie, I was tempted to tell the liaison to let them know I'd consider us even if they'd approve my AOS without an interview.

And a per diem for wages lost due to the inability to even look for a job.

Even with a safety cushion of banked savings to compensate for being out of work for 5.5 months, we were getting low on available funds bc things come up.  I couldn't imagine still being without an EAD

Hi November VJ fillers,

Hi Suss,

Today I was in USCIS  Detroit field office and we had AOS interview.

IO was so kind and my case was approved at spot.

I will get my GC in 2-3 weeks.

P.S. Before our interview the same IO had 3 hour interview (he said) with fraudulent  AOS case ....(of course, this application was denied. )

I don't know what will happen after ...(for petitioner and beneficiary) but I can imagine....

It means - you can lie for yourself but not for USCIS.

Good luck to everyone and many thanks  to Suss for her  advises.

That should be a gimme.  Your wait has been unbearable.

Congrats Kestutis!! See, nothing to worry about,  it's all about the job now! :)

Have you found any information on how to validate your  degree and experience here? Such as if you found any classes you need to take? Or what are your plans?

That's so awful.  I feel horrible that you've had to endure.  They need to skip the combo card and just overnight you a greencard.  My goodness.
