From the USCIS Policy Manual:

USCIS has the ability to waive an interview. Adjustment of status interviews are generally waived for applicants in the following classifications:

•Applicants clearly ineligible;

•Unmarried children of U.S. citizens, if not filed as part of a family pack;

•Parents of U.S. citizens;

•Fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens who married within 90 days, and their children;

•Asylee and refugee cases in which the applicant has previously been interviewed by an asylum or refugee officer; [3] and

•Unmarried children (under age 14) of lawful permanent residents

Question, my husband's green card status changed to "my card was mailed to me" on April 7. However, it's still not coming up on myUSPS. Anyone know how long it usually takes to arrive? Thanks!

My case is still on fingerprint fee received

I am still on fingerprint fee, too.  If anyone has ideas, I'd love to hear it.  I am being processed by San Diego which is one of the slow offices.  I should never have moved to down here from Orange County!!!!

Call them and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer. Most likely it will be a call back in 240 minutes, but they do call back. Many times they transfer the case but don't update the website.

Thank you! But his green card actually arrived yesterday. The tracking just never showed up on USPS. 😊

I emailed our congressman (a democrat, thank god) the day before yesterday and heard back from his USCIS liaison today. She asked me to fill out the privacy release form, so I did that immediately and also sent copies of our NOAs, my biometrics letter, and our RFIE. I figure that, at the very least, she'll be able to find out if they just haven't told us about something else holding up the process yet.

If you're still on fingerprint fee your case has not left the NBC for your local office and you can still get a direct approval from the NBC. In which case your local office processing time does not matter.

Congrats everyone that got approvals lately!!

I can't wait for the green card to come so we can stop stressing for a while lol. My congressman reached out to me yesterday to let me know that our i485 has been transferred to the local field office and they are still processing everything.. With NYC field office I know it will probably take forever to hear something again, which I've sadly gotten used to now.

I just never trust the USCIS system.  I imagine a room with giant stacks of files, dust and cob webs on some of them; and my file is on the bottom!  haha!  I dream of waking up with a status change text message!

Hahaha I always imagined them sitting around a fire in heavy cloaks drinking whiskey and tossing some of those cobwebbed files into the fire and laughing as they swig from their glass of whiskey.

It WILL happen.  I have given up on checking all the time and brought it down to once a week.  Monday afternoon on my lunch break I thought I'd check and BAM there was that approval.
