Still no update beyond "On March 8th we received your response to the RFE and will continue working on your case". I've also just officially missed out on my first chance at a job because they were really interested in me but the position starts immediately. This is really frustrating.

 Our the same situation:

On February 22, 2017, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC17xxxxxxxxx. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you.....

I registered on myUSPS and I just get alerts when packages are on there way, etc.

Did you get confirmation that they have sent the card yet? I did today.

Register on myUSPS with your phone number, etc. and they will text you whenever a package is on its way to your address, no matter the sender.

Hang in there. You will get an EAD update to say it's mailed any day now.

Im thinking about moving to Canada because it's such an amazing country to live. Why did you move besides in the name of love? - sorry side question

It pretty much boiled down to my husband having more ties here than I did in Canada. He has a job he wouldn't just be able to get the equivalent of there (working for one of the national sports leagues), and his family is here. I lived in a small town in New Brunswick that I really didn't like and that didn't have any job opportunities unless you could speak French very well, don't have  the family ties, and felt that the big cities were prohibitively expensive to live in unless you had a job lined up. I have a very specialized degree, so there weren't many opportunities for me period. I'm also finding that, with the exception of politics and medical coverage, the differences between Canada and here (at least from my experiences here in Pittsburgh) aren't really that noticeable.

Canada's definitely great, but I don't miss it as much as the people there told me I would. At least not yet anyway, haha.

It's so frustrating. I've been in contact with the company that has the potential job again and they told me to keep them updated just in case it comes in before they fill the position. Knowing that it could literally be anything from any day to a couple of months doesn't inspire much confidence, though, and I don't think there's anything I can do without a concrete job offer.

I know that there's a standard procedure that all of this has to go through, but I also can't help but feel that the human element gets lost in all of it. Like, it just becomes paperwork instead of actual lives.

Hi Guys. I just came home to a text saying my Application for AOS has been been approved - I 485.

my AOS of received Nov 4, meaning less than 5 months. I wasn't asked to attend any interview, just went from case received to case approved.

Kind of in a little shock given i thought NY field office was months behind, and i assumed any AOS case would take at least 9 months or more.

Has anyone else been approved with a similar timeline?

Hey guys...looks like I missed a lot

Just wanted to share our EAD typo error horror story in case anyone else on this site has to go through it.

Submitted an e-request 2/17

We mailed the card, a new application and supporting documents back 2/21

They received it 2/24.

We called 3/14 to see what was up because the receipt from the e-request said they'd contact us 3/11.

Spoke to a Tier 2 officer around 9am.

11pm we got the NOA via email/text that our EAD application was received.

3/21 NOA Hardcopy in hand....AND $410 money order Returned to us because even if the error is your fault, your 2nd EAD application is also free because of the pending I-485. No Biometrics needed (some folks have to repeat theirs).

Keeping our fingers crossed it comes soon.
