Are you Canadian?  

 

My biggest concern is going back into Canada at one of the land borders in NY.  CBSA has always given me grief and sends me into secondary to search my car and that was after short trips to the US to visit my now husband.  I don't want to have to deal with a headache there explaining why I've been in the US since October just so I can go have lunch with my mom in the Falls.

Hello November filers! So our 485 status just changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"  Our local office is Washington DC but we had no interview We are adjusting from K1 visa.

Yes I am Canadian and I've been in the US since Sept. I actually cleared customs in Canada because of the pre-clearance thing at the airport. I did get taken to secondary just to check my docs and nothing was searched.

Thanks! we have the same timeline so I am sure yours will come soon :):)

 

Now...I just need to learn how to drive and get the permit x.x I can´t believe my insurance would be more than $400 a month because I don't have experience driving :( That sucks! and makes it pretty much impossible to drive.

Agreed.  The huge added bonus is that he can now use that ID when boarding our plan sunday for Florida.  That has given him such comfort that he isn't forced to show his JA passport with the "expired visa" and all the issues and questions that come with it.  I can see his unease everytime he has to show it.

We just tried to call USCIS to have them put in a service request on her application.  We filed 11/23 and haven't heard anything except NOA1 and the biometrics.  And the online status still shows as invalid receipt number.

 

The last 2 nights they said they couldn't transfer us because of high call volume.  Then today they transferred us and the machine said they would call back in 283 minutes.  Anyone else have trouble getting through?

You can put in a SR online. search for "uscis e-request" and note down your reference number. You will get an email when you get a response.

 Looking that way. They are doing a huge amount of them in the last week from what I can see in October thread. I can't see why they are just leaving the waiver files sitting there for anymore then 4-5 months. 4 months is good going, well done. Fingers crossed in a few weeks us K1 December filers will be all getting this good news. ;-)

You are right! lol I especially can't see it since they could have avoided the work on the EAD/AP cards . :P
