It also gave me the update "Case was Approved" for the AP application. I never got that status for the EAD (similar also to other members)

Really? I just had my EAD updated. Nothing changed for my AP ?. Aren't they supposed to be processed at the same time?

I got the Card for production on Friday with nothing on the AP. As I said this is also how other members have reported the events recently.

When it goes to "Case Approved" that simply means that they sent out the paper NOAs. The card production and Card sent by mail are different updates.

Update: we have a joint sponsor and I was so relieved that I immediately started crying. That might also have something to do with the fact that I barely slept last night, but still.

My husband was very resolute about having enough evidence to send, but the more I read the more it seemed like they only really look at the amount on line 22. I felt pretty bad because I started crying right before he had to go to work. I mentioned how much simpler it would be if we had a joint sponsor, even though I figured that was totally off the table because a) I couldn't think of anyone who'd be willing or able to, and b) my husband is very independent and prefers to make his own way, especially in this situation where, in his words, "they're making it sound like I'm poor and I'm definitely not!" He just told me that my brother in law agreed to do it and that he would have asked one of his close friends to help if that had fallen through. I still feel really bad that it's such an issue and I keep telling him it would have been so much easier for him to marry an American, haha.

I'm sure it'll take a few days to get all of the paperwork together, but the stress-ringing in my ears has stopped! Question, though: when we submit the stuff for the joint sponsor, do we have to resubmit my husband's I-864 too? And should we send some of the extra evidence we were going to send when we were going to try to prove he makes enough?

Hi everyone! I am quietly reading this thread since it started in November :D I just want to share that I received my EAD/AP combo card yesterday,  Feb 21. Your stories and experiences are helping me ease the frustration and the endless waiting game, actually since the K1 filing (I am in the March 2016, too.) Anyway, my recent experience might help some:

November 10: AOS+EAD+AP package sent

November 14: Received

November 29: NOA

December 23: Biometrics

December 30: Status of I-485 changed to READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW (this status never changed since 12/30)

February 13: Case Status online and in the app reads: EAD APPROVED, AP still case was received

February 16: Received a mail saying that my AP IS APPROVED, no mention of EAD. Status online and in the app still same as Feb13

February 21: Received the EAD/AP Combo Card! Yay! Status online and in the app still the same as Feb13

The status and notifications I have received are very confusing, but I'm relieved I have the combo card now. I am hoping that for a postive news for everyone soon! :D

Yes you should still submit your husband's i864. In fact they already have it so you may just need to submit for the joint sponsor as they said or get a joint sponsor.
