Sounds like a good plan. Include anything also that can help clarify it for them (such as a summary letter of sorts) and evidence from different "official" sources are good to help prove that the pieces of the puzzle add up and that nothing is "made up" or "tampered" with. You got this!

You are right, it does sound cool .... but it's a sour grape right now I get it..

My husband's annoyed with the whole thing but otherwise relaxed because he thinks that we have plenty of extra evidence that we can send. I, however, have felt increasingly panicky and on the verge of tears, because that's sometimes how I deal with things. It's really worrying to see that some people planned their taxes a year out to minimize deductions in order to have their net income meet the guidelines because we definitely weren't thinking about that last year.

I saw someone say that submitting his 2016 taxes wouldn't count, though I don't totally understand why and we could do the 'minimize deductions to meet net guidelines' thing. Then again, that brings its own set of issues because I don't have an SSN or an ITIN and don't know how to go about filing without either. I was hoping to have my EAD in time to get an SSN to make things easier. When people here were talking about filing taxes I saw someone say that you can use your A# but I don't know if that was ever confirmed.

My husband and I filed jointly for 2016. I had to apply for ITIN. 8 weeks process. All this waiting is truly inconvenient

I just truly hope these RFEs don't delay our EAD too much. That's my fear.

Mine too. We're not struggling or anything, but I've been in a constant state of worrying about money and not being able to work since I moved here. I mean, I've been worried about money for most of the past decade, if we're being specific, but it's particularly bad right now, haha.

Same here... but I think I'm just like that lol... A bit of a worrier.... It kind of helps me in some ways in this process cause I tend to analyze details like a bloodhound on crack :jest: .... but in general, when I'm done worrying about one thing I find something else to worry about hahahahaha

Anyone have a therapist they can recommend?  ;)

My husband didnt want to do that for the minor once he realized you have to send in his passport. He was so against filing EAD for the child saying he doesnt need to work we can wait for the greencard. Once he read that he said the way they lose stuff no way file ead lol.
