That's a relief! I guess it always feels like yours is the only case that isn't seeing any progress. It causes some paranoia, haha.

I totally understand you ;) Hopefully you'll get approved soon :)

Yes thereshould be a 1 in box one and a 1  in box 2. If it is not able to input electronically, then print it and write it manually. As for taxes yes, you need to send all related documents when filing self employed. I would even include a transcript just to be on the safe side. They like to see for 3 years to ensure that the income is steady. Sorry for your misunderstanding but it is really an easy fix.

1) your household size should be 2

2) yes, she needs to submit W2's for most recent tax year and any other supporting financial information (i.e. pay stubs from last 6 months)

It's really annoying, we got the same RFIE but just submit literally everything you possibly have to be safe. I submitted 3 years worth of tax returns and W2's from 2014 and 2015 the first time and they still wanted more evidence of having enough income so I waited for 2016 W2 and obtained a joint sponsor just to prove steady, consistent income. It is an easy fix though so I recommend fixing it up and submitting everything asap

Thank you gays for explaining.

That means I need to print Page 5 and fill out manually? (USCIS asks to submit only this page) but where she could sign this page after it will be completed?

How do you think, will this RFIE  affect my AOS processing time (count over/count stop)?

Will this affect EAD process?

This topic was discussed on this thread back in December if you want to go back and read through the comments on how to properly complete household size.   If it's not letting you and put it on the computer it's because you may have to download the Adobe reader.   You can just submit the page they're asking for without the signature page.  That's what I did.

Congratulations!!!

Thank you Boo :) I also just wanted to share this information. Many of us are looking for jobs now and I see some having problems with the EAD card as evidence of authorization. There is good information to be found on the uscis website:

https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/employee-rights-discrimination/employee-rights

In the menu on the left under Employee rights and Resources you'll find the information below and more. Good luck job hunting. :)

EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

Employers must treat employees in a non-discriminatory manner when recruiting, hiring, firing, and verifying their identity and authorization to work on Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

Your employer may not

  • Demand that you show specific documents because of your national origin, ethnicity, immigration or citizenship status, race, color, religion, age, gender or disability, or because of any other protected characteristic. For example, your employer may not:
  • Refuse to accept your document or refuse to hire you because of an unfounded suspicion that your document is fraudulent. For example, your employer may not refuse to accept your U.S. passport because you have limited English proficiency.
  • Treat you differently than other applicants because you are, or your employer believes that you are, a U.S. citizen or noncitizen.
  • Ask to see your employment authorization documents before hiring you or before you complete Form I-9.
  • Refuse to accept your document or refuse to hire you because your document expires in the future.
  • Limit jobs to U.S. citizens unless U.S. citizenship is required by law or government contract.
  • Demand a specific document when reverifying that you are authorized to work. You may present any document either from List A or from List C of the Lists of Acceptable Documents to demonstrate that you are still authorized to work.

Your employer must:

  • Provide you with the entire Form I-9, including instructions for completing the form.
  • Accept your documentation if it reasonably appears to be genuine and to relate to you.
  • Allow you the choice of what documentation to provide. Your employer cannot demand that you provide a U.S. passport or Green Card.
  • Reject any document that does not reasonably appear to be genuine or to relate to you.
  • Follow the Immigration and Nationality Act’s anti-discrimination provision and not retaliate against you for:
    • Contacting the Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER), Civil Rights Division, or the Equal Opportunity Commission for assistance or to file a complaint.
    • Complaining about discrimination or otherwise asserting your or another’s rights.
    • Participating in an investigation or lawsuit on behalf of an alleged victim.

If you feel your employer did not hire you, treated you differently during the hiring or Form I-9 process, or terminated you because of your national origin, or immigration or citizenship status, call IER at 1-800-255-7688 (Worker Hotline) or 1-800-237-2515 (TTY), or visit IER’s website.

You may also contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) if you feel you have been discriminated against in employment based on your race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity or any other prohibited basis. Call 1-800-669-4000 or 1-800-669-6820 (TTY), or visit the EEOC website.

Congrats.

Suss, missing your opinion on my last post,,,

K

Thank you :)

Well the advice that has worked for everyone else is to download adobe reader...then open the program, then open the file from within the program. Don't go the path of double-clicking on the file cause it launches the plug-in instead and that doesn't work.

So if you tried that, and that doesn't work then I would see if I could try it on another computer. Cause that should work! Good luck :)

...and I don't think it will affect the EAD timeline and the i-485 just a bit. It seems rfe's are not adding too much from what I've seen in other threads, but each case is ofc different.
