Hello November filers! So our 485 status just changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"  Our local office is Washington DC but we had no interview We are adjusting from K1 visa.

Right you were the lucky one who got approved on the spot congratulations! :) & yes mine has been good about updating throughout the entire process. I just got an update that it was mailed out today!

Who here was it that gave me a tip about the Research Triangle in NC? I sent off a s**t load of applications there today! ????

Maybe it'll pan out... one of the companies was Swedish too... ik their research... but it was an ad that had been out quite a while,  so might'be been too late... but if I get anything over there it'd be exactly the kind of job I'm looking for :)

Being that my combo card is on it's way my husband and I are already planning our first trip together out of the country :)

however I was wondering if it was ok to take a vacation with AP? Or do you need a motive/emergency other than wanting to lay down by a beach with a nice cold one? ?

You don't need a reason, but you still have to be inspected at reentry and it's at discretion of the CBP officer whether or not to parole you in.
