Your status can remain that way for weeks/months. That only means that all your documents are complete and they're waiting on your field office... Mine has been like that since December 5, 2016..

It even doesn't have to mean field office, seen some who get this status and then get GC from MSC as well..

This morning my wife and I have read that the new administration will issue executive orders today on immigration and visas from certain countries (as well as directing funds to build a border wall).

As my wife is from one of the "black-listed" countries of course we are now concerned. While I do not think that it will affect us as her status is "ready to be scheduled for an interview", none-the-less we fear at a minimum a distruption in the process such as increased wait times and more "extreme vetting".

All-in-all we count ourselves lucky as we are past the K1 visa stage which would have definitely affected us. It is our hope that this decision passes us over and doesn't negatively impact those just trying to be with their loved ones.

- post is apolitical (as I am) so please do not make it political.

Read about it yesterday and will be tuning in today to see what specifics are given. I think as you many couples and families are worried right now about how they will be affected... :/

Hello everyone! My husband is teaching me how to drive while we wait. I was scared and couldn't imagine myself driving but it's easier than I thought :P

Aww  that is awesome! Congrats! I hope to do as good as you whe my time comes :)

One of the reasons I want to be done with taxes is because we are planning to buy a car with that money so I can learn and drive (I tried with the manual car and didn't work out lol).

ofc you can do the manual!! You just need to practice practice!! :D I'm lucky as in Sweden it's "standard with standard" ;) Been driving that since 16... but I did get an automatic over here.. simply cause they are cheaper and it's more convenient in traffic.. especially when you don't know the place lol you can keep focus on where you're going hahahaha

Hello everybody,

Thanks for the status updates and tax info! Very helpful~

I filed mine on 11/1 and biometrics on 12/2 but no update yet.

FYI, I have noticed that You can submit an inquiry about your Form I-765 if your case has been pending more than 75 days (not 90 days) so i submit my inquiry yesterday but no news yet.

We shall see :)
