What does that mean exactly? Is there a chance that I might still get denied? I sent my 221g documents last Oct 28, and it just updated today.

Nope. READY means just that, ready for the next person to review your file, which many times means ISSUED is next.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps for Embassy Manila:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out.

Your milage may vary. It looks like your on your way in receiving your visa. Just relax. Everything is running normally.

Does it mean I was approved then?

Does it mean I was approved then?

No one can say for sure if it is approved. You are in a NORMAL process cycle for the issuance of your visa. Normally if you are it this stage in the process you are approved. But since I or anyone else cannot say with 100% accuracy that you are approved, I would say that all signs point to the fact you are approved. But I or anyone else cannot tell you at this stage if you are APPROVED. You just need to be patient and let the process work.
