Hi guys,

I did my biometrics appointment (31 October) as a walk-in. Do I need to do anything to notify USCIS that I've done this before their "scheduled" appointment? Does this USCIS location that I did my biometrics at (Syracuse, NY) communicate with FBI/USCIS Processing to ensure they're aware I've completed this? I have my receipt, of course.

Also, how long is average for waiting between Biometrics Appointment and EAD/AP approval. I would love to go visit my parents for xmas and leave around 15 December.

From what I can see from this forum, the "average" looks to be about 3 weeks until approval, and maybe 2 weeks after that to receive the card? Is this accurate, in your opinions?

My EAD and Ap approvals took 91 from the day I filed. It was 2 months or so after biometrics. There's no guarantee to get your travel document sooner because you had a walk in. You can hope the document will be approved before your intended travel date, but it's hard to say if it will.

When you go for your biometrics it should be in their system and the proper department should follow up with their procedures, you don't need to call anyone
