Hi

I paid the fee for my Green card a month before i left the UK. I emigrated to the USA on 09/27. :dancing::dancing::dancing: On arrival in the USA i was issued with a temporary GC in my passport. i was told it will take up to 6 months for the GC to arrive. I got my SSN. So i applied for a job. i passed the interview. In processing me for the job. they struggled to understand my immigration status in USA. I explained to my employers my status and that i am able to work in the USA as well as reside here.

I still have not received my physical GC, but i concerned that without the physical card i may have similar problems.

As anyone in the forum experience similar problems ? if so what did you do?

Thank you in advance

It's a temporary green card. You are an lpr. There isn't much confusion so I'm really never sure why companies are confused about this! I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
