I think maybe transfer notice is automatically generated by the system. Better to call them just in case.

That's what I'm hoping for...

Try to call the USCIS number and check your case status using the automated system (automated system gives you transfer location sometimes before the letter arrives).. my updates look exactly the same as yours with 2 updates on may 1st and 2 on may 3rd .. the may 1st updates said that my case was transferred to NBC and the may 3rd updates say my case was transferred back to California Service Center.. this doesn't make a lot of sense so maybe this is just some internal stuff going on ..

If i was in your situation i would just call and ask with tier 2 as well... an officer told you you are already approved so it makes sense that you need to know why you are getting all those transfer notices and no oath letter :/

I will call tomorrow for sure since USCIS recommends calling Tuesday through Friday. I have already made an infopass appointment to visit my local office which is 10 minutes from my workplace, so I'll be stopping by there next week to clarify as well. This whole thing has been nothing short of an ordeal.

If it is so, I guess I shouldn't worry too much.

Even after you passed the civil test for N-400, it is only "recommended to approve" your N-400 petition. There are still some "Administrative Reviews", which takes ~1 month, if your case is under "Administrative Review" then you will only be scheduled for Oath ceremony after the Review completed.  So my guess is they transfer to NBC for Review before schedule the Oath Ceremony.

That would make sense.. I wonder how do offices like Newark complete the interviews and send you to the Oath Ceremony on the same day and some times just a couple of hours after the interview :S

for that, you have to ask the officers. Remember: all petitions are considered on a "case-by case" basis?

I received a NOA today in the mail stating my I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on the Permanent Residence has been moved to National Benefits Center after a completed preliminary review...

I had applied for N-400 while waiting for I-751 to be approved. I went in for N-400 Interview on February 14th but they didn't approve since I-751 wasn't approved yet. Then on March 28th they did I-751 interview with me and my spouse and verbally approved both N-400 and I-751 and informed me I should be receiving a letter for oath ceremony within 30-60 days.

Then I got a couple of online status changes on 1st and 2nd May about my case being transferred, and now this letter.

This just doesn't make any sense. As per my understanding, they send the case for which an interview is required to National Benefits Center. An interview for both N-400 and I-751 is already done at my local office in Indianapolis.

Any comments? Has anyone seen/experienced the same thing?

Hey, I am a 751 August filer 2016. I was approved on 4/26/2018 and I got the approval notice in the mail, and today, I still got the the same update as yours(Case transferred to another office), I talked to a tier 2 officer who told me just disregard this update since I have been approved, but previously, I talked to a tier 1 officer who also told me, all the 751 cases are getting or have gotten the same update. I have friends who are 751 applicants who are still waiting, they all got the same message today, one in Seattle, one in Tennessee. So I think all these updates are kind of meaningless, they are probably system update. I have been approved and i still got this update.

Hello all,

This forum has been really helpful for me. I've been following updates here for the past few months and just created an account.

Filed in CSC - 11/08/2016

NOA: 11/10/2016

Received the case transferred to local office update on February  25th, 2018.

Case did not update saying approved or anything suggesting an approval.

However, yesterday I received an update on my USCIS account with the following information. The First update read card ordered, then a date of birth change on my form i-751 (which i didn't request for a DOB change).

image.thumb.png.20d8aa362ad88682bff76093aaa6bca2.png

Has anyone gotten a status like this. Could it be considered an approval or should I still wait for an approval/card in the mail.

Thanks

Hi all,

My dhs account now shows approved and card should be here in 60days or less (hopefully). See image below. Wishing everyone an approval soonest. :)

You got the "You case has been transferred to another office" update? If you get one, it might not mean much because I got one too after I was approved on 4/26, and I also got the approval notice in the mail. Many CSC 751 applicants also got the same message today. Probably a system update.

I already got my oath letter date, but mine is complicated because my husband passed 3 days after the 400 interview, so I thought I was supposed to lose my eligibility by law, but now I will have to go to the oath and lose my eligibility there because I will fill out my 445 form there, but my 751 was approved on 4/26, and now there is a new strange update that says my case has been transferred to another office which USCIS agents told me to disregard because my 751 was approved. Hopefully I will get my green card soon. Good luck to you, will keep you posted too.

So very sorry to hear about your husband. My condolences. Since you have your oath date, it means you have proved bona fide marriage for which you have received the citizenship. I do not see why you'd lose your eligibility.
