My case still says "Case was Received at My local office" which is Detroit office. 

I am getting anxious and annoyed because if the case was still in California, I should have heard something in 1 months max. Now, I cannot even ask about it till the end of August!

I am due to travel abroad soon and I am worried that at other international airports the stamp won't be understood. 

 

There are no infopass appointments available, I am not eligible for expedite processing, and I have no idea what to do now. 

F1 Visa Journey

4th March 2009 - Schedule F-1 Visa Appointment

18th March 2009 - F1 Visa Interview

28th March 2009 - F1 Visa approved

After over a year of filing the I-751 my husband received the letter of approval. We were not asked to interview as we provided as much information as possible. No immigration officers at our house. F

Is there anyone whose status used to read "Case moved to local office" and had applied in october-november 2016 at the california center been approved?    I guess I am trying to find out if the "moved to local office" means you are somehow behind in the queue and on a pending-hold status.

I'll have to look everything up, but I'll try and give an update tomorrow.  The reason why I was on this forum was because I wasn't sure if she actually got approved and literally a couple of minutes after I posted, we got a status update -

Thank you - that gives us little reassurance that our cases aren't stuck in some limbo or fallen off the crack somewhere.

I checked the site and got the same 'case transferred to local office' message.

Then last Sunday I realized that I hadn't checked for the mail the day before... amongst the envelopes was a letter from USCIS

I imagined that it was going to be a confirmation of that online message, but no! 

There under my name and address was the sentence "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved."

 

I must admit, with the "!" in that sentence, I honestly thought it was an elaborate hoax haha

 

Received date 11/07/16

Notice date 04/10/18

 

I thought I would share this just to let everyone else know that the "local office" message doesn't mean that you have been forgotten!

 

Now I need to go read up about the N400 paperwork - scary? exciting!

That's what happened to me, and i'm a November 2016 filer. It was an issue with their system, and I was never transferred to my local office (Dallas, TX). My approval came straight from California.

December 2010: Met through Facebook and began chatting

October 1, 2013: Married

USCIS

December 23rd, 2013: I-130 Package received at the Phoenix Lockbox

June 19th, 2014: Confirmation received - case shipped to NVC

NVC

July 1st, 2014: Case received at NVC

October 6th, 2014: Case Complete

November 25th, 2014: Interview at the Montreal Consulate - APPROVED!!!!

December 1st, 2014: Visa in hand

The Big Move

December 27th, 2014: Moved to Dallas, Tx

Removal of Conditions

November 7, 2016: Case received at CSC

November 9, 2016: Check cashed

December 18, 2017: InfoPass at Dallas Field Office - I-551 stamp in passport

April 11, 2018: Case was updated: Card being produced.

April 12, 2018: Case was updated: Approval (with approval date of 04/11/18).

Naturalization

October 1, 2020: Submitted N-400 Online application

Got my approval letter today from CSC

 

Received date: 11/15/2016

Notice date: 04/19/2018

 

I got my bio around 12/2016

 

after this long long wait and all the hassle of getting my stamp, FINALLY GOT THIS APPROVED! 

 

Folks for apply around november, hope there are also good news for you guys too!

They received my I-751 November 8th, 2016 at CSC.

Congrats to everyone who got approval. I have more concerns whether filed N 400 was a wise decision. Looks like once filed N 400, CSC will not handle the case but let it adjudicate with N 400. However, plenty people reported when they went to N400 interview, after they passed the test officer didn't approve n 400 - the reason is they are waiting for I 751 to be done first. Has it become a chicken and egg question? I 751 is supposed to be processed first, but CSC leaves it to be adjudicated with N 400, then local office says they have to wait for I 751. I'm wondering when that happens, does USCIS give any timeframe for people who pass N 400 interview but wait for them to complete I 751?
