Looking at all your timelines I'm getting anxious... I sent my package at VSC on the 1st, it was received the 4th (per USPS tracking number). I still do not have NOA1 and the check has not been cashed. Seems to be taking longer than most for VSC...

P.S. Michelle13, I was looking at the timeline in your signature and couldn't help but notice you received your green card at the end of January this year. If so, how come are you already applying for ROC? Is there something I am missing?

I'm going by the 90 days from my GC expiration date. Long story short, they issued my GC January 2015-2017 So I'm now in the 90 day window for that. When I called and asked them about it they just told me to go ahead and apply for ROC like normal.

Hoping that it will be a smooth process! *fingers crossed* :)

It's confusing I know :/

I would say to keep monitoring the check to see when it is cashed. If after next Monday they don't cash it, I would definitely give them a call to see what's going on.

Gotcha!

Yes, I was confused, but as you said, if they issued the GC in Jan 2015 (based on the date on the GC itself), then yes, that's the right thing to do.

They made me wait a year to get mine (interview waiver), but unfortunately it was dated Jan 2015, as per the approval of the GC itself. Not that I am complaining! LOL

Best of luck for a smooth processing!

The good news is I'm a year ahead of the process. (hopefully!) The bad news is I only got about an 11 month break of forms and fees haha! :) :) Oh well. :) The things we do for love. :)

Blueberry Pancake, I added you to the VSC list.

Exciting to see you received the Biometrics letter. VSC is sending that out much faster than CSC from what I can see in the other threads.

Welcome, mdzcpa.

I had a look at your timeline and read your (horror) story with the CO for the CR-1 Visa...unbelievable!

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Yes, that embassy interview will go down as one of the worst experiences of my life. To be honest, I've been dreading this Removal of Conditions process as my wife and I were kind of traumatized by the whole process of getting her here. Between the enormous waiting times, the RFE delay due to an error our attorney made on our submission, and that horrible interview at the embassy, we do not have a good taste in our mouth about the immigration process. We quickly forgot the demeaning treatment of the interview and have been so happy the last 2 years. So although the ROC should be no big deal, we still get a little queezy over dealing with the USICS.

That all said, we hope this goes well for us and everyone here with us on this next step. Smartly, we prepared the 751 ourselves...no need for attorneys to just mess it up LOL. I keep checking the bank each day to see those checks clear. It's only been 4 days but I'm already worrying. Seriously, the legal immigration process is not for the faint of heart! But like someone said above, we would do it all over again to be together :)
