After over a year of filing the I-751 my husband received the letter of approval. We were not asked to interview as we provided as much information as possible. No immigration officers at our house. F

Hi there. My application date was Nov 17th, 2016 and still nothing, I was lucky to get a stamp since we are going on family vacation from mid December till end of January. I didn't want to file N-400 because we are going to be out of state so no rush for that. Keep us update please. I do have a friend end of December  filer and she got approved few days ago I'm not sure who is responsible for our case in Vermont center, they may have few different officers.

Still waiting for the I-751 approval. We live in Los Angeles. My husband was lucky enough to get an appt at the immigration office. He tried midnight on a Wednesday. Got an appointment the following week. They said CSC was still working on July.. I couldn’t believe it. They stamped his passport for one year from the date of the appointment. He GC expires in December. Going on vacation in January. Haven’t had a problem with the extension letter at LAX. Hoping GC comes soon!

So I called USCIS earlier this afternoon  and spoke to a CSR lady about my Pending ROC. She told me that they’ve received my case on 11/03/2016 but my application is still on normal processing. She said that I have to wait 3 to 4 months. 😮😭 since CSC is still working on August filers. Oh my gosh. By the way I already submitted my N-400 and I had my biometric last Nov. 16, 2017. Hope we will get our GC soon.

It was a midnight Tuesday when I just read your post and tried to get an appointment not even hoping to get one since it's been impossible for me past month . And I got it! Lol, thank you!

How do you file the N-400 online? The official USCIS page just lists physical addresses to mail it to.

2016-09-27: I-751 removal of conditions petition sent (with fee waiver request)

2016-09-30: I-751 petition delivered to California Service Center

2016-11-01: Informed in USCIS customer service call that they had no record of receiving our petition, but that it might still be languishing somewhere in fee waiver limbo

2016-11-01: Filed I-751 again, this time with payment check instead of fee waiver request (sent Priority Express)

2016-11-03: Date on I-797 Notice of Action (received 11/7)

2016-11-09: USCIS mailed out denial of our original fee waiver request, with denial letter dated 2016-11-02

2016-11-19: Biometrics appointment notice issued, for 2016-12-07 appointment

2016-11-26: Second biometrics appointment notice issue, for 2016-12-16 appointment (see this thread)

2016-12-07: Biometrics appointment. Allowed to complete biometrics despite mix-up on their end (again see this thread), but some people had to come back for second appointment date.

2018-05-01: Notice that our case was transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, MO

2018-06-11: Approved after N-400 interview in Portland, OR (they seemed to be waiting for that before bothering with it)

2017-12-11: N-400 Application for Naturalization submitted online while still waiting to hear back on I-751, received same day

2017-12-15: Biometrics notice

2018-01-04: Biometrics completed, on appointment date (Portland, OR)

2018-02-28: Interview scheduled for April 12 in Portland, OR

2018-03-01 (approximate): We sent in a letter requesting that the interview be rescheduled to after June 8, due to combination of work and family travel plans

2018-03-07: Notice that our April 12 interviewed had been "canceled" (pending rescheduling, but the letter didn't actually say that; officer at InfoPass later explained that interviews aren't scheduled until five or six weeks before the interview date, so they were waiting until closer to our requested rescheduling window)

2018-05-03: New interview scheduled for June 11.

2018-06-11: Citizenship interview - approved!

Search here on the website for the key words: naturalization online. Somebody posted the link. I was not able to find the link otherwise by just going to the uscis website. It's under uscis.gov/exploremyoptions. 

 

Based on what people say on the forum, the online applications should go faster. My NOA online though says 10 months.

I have moved from CA to TX this month (Filled out all the necessary address changes etc. and received multiple confirmations)

My question is, if they call me for an interview... would they call me back to CA? 

And it's looking like I'll need to book an infopass to get my passport stamped soon... is that something I can do at a USCIS office in TX somewhere???

Has been one year since NOA1 and so we scheduled an InfoPass.  We have a satellite location in Nashville but its always full.  No issue getting an InfoPass appointment in Memphis only days ahead of time.  We took most of the day spending 4 hours driving there, 45 minutes waiting, 10 minutes in the InfoPass, and 4 hours home.

 

Results are a 1 year extension stamp I-551.  They did not take the Green Card or anything.  Very easy.  Was informed that they did a preliminary review early on (likely for easy RFE for missing items) and we are scheduled in the endless cue in California for an officer review.  All in all a good day.  Given our situation the I-551 makes me more comfortable knowing they messed up the dates on the Green Card.

7/15/2016 Card for EAD mailed. Card is for both EAD and AP. Received 7/19/2016. Waiting now for AOS Interview or Green Card Approval

7/19/2016 The USCIS.GOV is now working for our AOS application. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Seems others have access to USCIS.GOV Check Case now. Glitch fixed?

8/15/2016 I-485 Approved. Status now Card/Document Production

8/20/2016 GREEN CARD DELIVERED -118 Days K-2 Process complete, see y'all on Lifting Conditions board in a year or so

Sounded too good to be true, but I guess they're just keeping it low-profile so they can test out the process on a smaller number of people.

What us about the infopass appointments? Does it depend of the city or something? I live in Albuquerque, NM and lucky me I have an uscis office in my town so Only for checking I just look for an infopass and the website said I can get one today at 11:30am, it is almost 10:00 am here, is it only I was lucky? or its depend of the city?

Also, there were plenty of people being turned down because they didn't have an appointment. The receptionist told the same thing to all of them: "check between 7 and 8.30am".

 

I now have an extension stamp on my passport (and she didn't take my resident card nor my extension letter). Very pleasant experience overall. Let's hope we don't need to get another stamp!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

Happy it worked for you. I had the same experience. I got to keep my green card. Too bad we have to give it up at the naturalization ceremony. But looking forward to that day.

Tue, 11/28/2017 3:07 AM - NOA confirmation of application receipt was uploaded to my online USCIS account. Processing time for naturalization to be 10 months (to be completed September 2018)

Sat, 12/02/2017 3:06 AM - Received notification that my biometrics appointment was scheduled but the document showing the date and time has not yet been uploaded

Tue, 12/05/2017 - Biometrics Appointment Letter was uploaded to my USCIS account. Scheduled for 12/22/2017 at 8:00 am at USCIS Tustin

Tue, 12/05/2017 2:00 PM - Early walk-in biometrics completed at USCIS Tustin
