Wow, exciting!!! Good for you! And fingers crossed that we don't have to even worry about extensions, etc. (the extension has the same expiration date as your card, not the actual letter, so in your case it would be early December and not early November).

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

Hi guys!! I file last November 11/1 NOA 11/7 Biometric 12/9 - online status is currenly saying "fees were waived .." (which is weird bc I did not apply for a fee waiver, I looked around and ppl say this is due to a system glitch and should not effect my application) however since then status online has not change - still showing "fees were waived" until today .. anyone in the same boat?

Thanks!!!

Funny, I didn't know everyone else was getting that too! It was especially confusing for us, since we DID apply for a fee waiver, but received documents firmly rejecting it!

Removal of Conditions:

2016-09-27: I-751 removal of conditions petition sent (with fee waiver request)

2016-09-30: I-751 petition delivered to California Service Center

2016-11-01: Informed in USCIS customer service call that they had no record of receiving our petition, but that it might still be languishing somewhere in fee waiver limbo

2016-11-01: Filed I-751 again, this time with payment check instead of fee waiver request (sent Priority Express)

2016-11-03: Date on I-797 Notice of Action (received 11/7)

2016-11-09: USCIS mailed out denial of our original fee waiver request, with denial letter dated 2016-11-02

2016-11-19: Biometrics appointment notice issued, for 2016-12-07 appointment

2016-11-26: Second biometrics appointment notice issue, for 2016-12-16 appointment (see this thread)

2016-12-07: Biometrics appointment. Allowed to complete biometrics despite mix-up on their end (again see this thread), but some people had to come back for second appointment date.

2018-05-01: Notice that our case was transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, MO

2018-06-11: Approved after N-400 interview in Portland, OR (they seemed to be waiting for that before bothering with it)

Citizenship:

2017-12-11: N-400 Application for Naturalization submitted online while still waiting to hear back on I-751, received same day

2017-12-15: Biometrics notice

2018-01-04: Biometrics completed, on appointment date (Portland, OR)

2018-02-28: Interview scheduled for April 12 in Portland, OR

2018-03-01 (approximate): We sent in a letter requesting that the interview be rescheduled to after June 8, due to combination of work and family travel plans

2018-03-07: Notice that our April 12 interviewed had been "canceled" (pending rescheduling, but the letter didn't actually say that; officer at InfoPass later explained that interviews aren't scheduled until five or six weeks before the interview date, so they were waiting until closer to our requested rescheduling window)

2018-05-03: New interview scheduled for June 11.

2018-06-11: Citizenship interview - approved!

Hi everyone,

I am from the January 2017 filers group and I just got a letter in my mail today for the i-751 interview. Doesn't provide much information just gives a date and time for the interview and asks me to bring along my spouse, my conditional green card, the letter, ID, proof of bonafide marriage and 2 passport size photographs. Anyone else gotten the same letter or know what the interview process is like?

Congratulations!

Check the October 2016 thread, there was a lady there (QueenOfBlades if I remember correctly) who had the interview a couple of months ago after receiving the same letter. It is just a standard interview, nothing to worry about unless there IS something to worry about.

For when is the interview scheduled?

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

If you look at the bottom right of your biometrics letter you will see another receipt number. That's the one you need to use for online tracking.

Congrats.. Are you a Nov. 2016 filer? CSC or VSC?

Hi, I am new here, and I am a November filer too. I wonder why you had to go for an interview. I have been waiting for 8 months, it means that I don't have to go for an interview right?

Unfortunately the delay isn't an indicator of you having to interview or not; everyone is getting delayed right now.  After my wife got her GC, she actually started working as a Paralegal in an immigration office and they have noticed that a couple months back the processing dates were moving along each month as they should... but they just... stopped.

For months, the processing times have just moved along a few weeks for the RoC.  We applied for RoC at the beginning of Dec 2016 and after the notice of receipt and the extension, we haven't had any communication what so ever with the USCIS.
