Yes you are right... I may not be here for the appt ...i notice that most of the November filers received their appts just 25-30 days after they sent in their documents....

so probably best to wait till we get back and file then (since it can be filed any time within 90 days prior to expiration)

You could always gamble and postpone the appointment if it is scheduled while you're away, however, I would REALLY look hard into that, to see if it makes sense or if it is more of a hassle than anything.

After over a year of filing the I-751 my husband received the letter of approval. We were not asked to interview as we provided as much information as possible. No immigration officers at our house. F

I noticed that you filed yours one day after ours. We received our NOA 1 in the mail yesterday and it was dated Nov 22, 1026. You should see yours any day now. Hang in there...it's a hurry up and wait process!

I have done some math and have worked out a formula to determine your predicted biometrics date. The data is showing that the prediction is just over 98% accurate based on all appointments for the last 11 months. So there is a clear trend in terms of the date and the relation to the NOA. If you would like to get a prediction, let me know the date you sent your package and the date of your NOA. Cheers.

With your AOS completion date of Feb 2016, how is it possible that you're already at ROC 10 months after? What am I missing? LOL :blink:

You are not missing anything. The government fat fingered her Green Card and all dates moved up a year.

We have talked to a few other Vj'ers who had this happen and they said it is a nightmare to try to correct. One in fact spent 4 or 5 meetings with the government only to have them not change it. The advice has been is to take it and play through. Further evidence on doing this came in October when my wife received a letter from USCIS telling her if she did not file ROC by February 2017 she will be in violation and will need to be removed. So we are playing on.

It's stuff like this and I-94 issues she had (two times) that really makes me wonder about our governments ability to vet ISIS bad guys. It makes me also wonder about the governments ability on security on medical stuff under Obamacare.

The saying goes "you can't fight City Hall" so we aren't and will muddle on through and see what happens.

8/18 2015 ; NOA2 APPROVED. Perfect timing since Linh's current B1/B2 visa stay expires in 3 days and heads back to Vietnam

11/2/2015: Not tuned in enough to Social Security not to pick "the first day of the month" to try to get signed up. Read VJ advice, it's spot on, we had a processor who knew K1. We were in the SAVE database in 3 days so it was easy after a 2 hour wait.

4/11/2016 Package with Applications Send Fed Ex Overnight to Chicago and FedEx confirms delivery on 4/12/2016

4/26/2016 Received 3 emails and 3 text with Acceptance of confirmation of 3 applications. NOA1 Date 4/25/2016 WHAT IS GOING ON CHICAGO? Took 10 days longer than last time to just receive mail

4/27/2016 Check is cashed. Still can't look up Receipt Numbers on Case Status online at USCIS.GOV WHAT IS GOING ON?????

5/25/2016 Walk in for a "junior" Biometrics for an 11 year old (supposedly not required). Oops wrote down the wrong day, appointment was for 5/23/2016. USCIS office was nice and accepted us 2 days late.

7/13/2016 Finally the Check Status Website worked. Approved EAD and AP. Website still not working on AOS Green Card Application. No email notification at all....

7/15/2016 Card for EAD mailed. Card is for both EAD and AP. Received 7/19/2016. Waiting now for AOS Interview or Green Card Approval

7/19/2016 The USCIS.GOV is now working for our AOS application. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Seems others have access to USCIS.GOV Check Case now. Glitch fixed?

8/15/2016 I-485 Approved. Status now Card/Document Production

8/20/2016 GREEN CARD DELIVERED -118 Days K-2 Process complete, see y'all on Lifting Conditions board in a year or so

Good for YOU!

We basically wasted spent one year in "interview waiver", waiting to receive the green card that would start the countdown to citizenship, it was very frustrating, but we thought at least we had legal status...!

So here's to a speedy process, hopefully mistake free!

You are not missing anything. The government fat fingered her Green Card and all dates moved up a year.

The same thing happened to my GC issue dates!! I'm filing a year earlier than "normal"

10/17/14 RFE was received
10/23/14 RFE/I-195F mailed back to USCIS
11/05/14 I-129F Petition Approved!!!!!!!!!!!!

12/19/14 Submitted DS-160 online form.
01/15/15 Submitted Package 3 Checklist for a request for interview!
01/16/15 Consulate sent me packet to prepare for my interview/medical!
