Absolutely (I'm a pessimist and always like to make sure I don't get too excited, especially with USCIS). If it comes to that, hell yeah I would do it.

I also like to plan ahead, and have already filled out pretty much all fields of the N-400, so that all I have to do next year is make sure I have the current form. For people with several trips per year out of the country, it can be time consuming, so I also already added all of the travels past and future that is already known to me.

We have done the same thing. N-400 already filled out and documents beginning to come together in the file.

Nice! Maybe I should start soon. Idk. It seem too early for me. Might start compiling in March.

I wonder what are the odds of not having to have an interview (provided all necessary information is provided and all proof does show that the marriage is real) ? Anybody knows/ did any research for this? --- Nikkosan, go!

This is one case where the interview is MANDATORY. You also take your Civics Exam at the same interview. Remember, there are several parts to this interview and all have to be passed successfully. Reading and writing English, etc, etc. Make sure to study the practice Civics Exams. There are 100 questions of which you will be asked up to 10 and have to answer 6 correctly to pass.

Yup! I honestly CANNOT wait! LOL I have a close friend who is basically one year ahead of us, and he just filed for citizenship today. It is beyond exciting, especially when it's been 10 years in the making, with rules forbidding us to marry a long time ago!

Not at all! Somehow, this is me

HAHAHAHAHA! Glad to know I'm in good company!

So yes, definitely look into it. Also, if you travel a lot, make sure you have dates AND number of days spent abroad, they're going to ask you, and that's what has been time consuming for me.

The odds are pretty good I would say.

If you don't get approved right away, they might send you a RFE, but then if they're satisfied, they would simply approve your petition once they review the additional evidence.

I think like you and I dont trust USCIS so I prefer to wait and have everything perfect and ready with time plus I am already with my love, it is not like when I was in my country waiting.

That's right! Although now, for the ROC (knock on wood...!), we've been lucky with a very speedy turnaround from NOA1 to Biometrics. Here's to hoping the trend will continue!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

You will have a VALID green card until it expires in March. This means that even if you start the ROC process, you're going to be fine going in and out of the country, even without your NOA1 extension letter.

What would concern me personally is that CSC seems to be speeding up in issuing biometrics appointments, which means you may be issued one prior to your return to CA. That would be the only thing worth considering.

Yes you are right... I may not be here for the appt ...i notice that most of the November filers received their appts just 25-30 days after they sent in their documents....

so probably best to wait till we get back and file then (since it can be filed any time within 90 days prior to expiration)

Amazing thank you so much for your advice!!!!

Not that I need to, but I second Nikkosan's reply!

haha!!!! always appreciate more than 1 persons advice :-)

Appreciate the help!!
