Good luck trying to trace the USPS money order! LOL The good news is, you don't have to worry. I used the same method, and it was cashed the same day my petition got delivered at CSC. Meanwhile the USPS system still doesn't say anything about it, so yes, it's useless to say the least.

11/2/2015: Not tuned in enough to Social Security not to pick "the first day of the month" to try to get signed up. Read VJ advice, it's spot on, we had a processor who knew K1. We were in the SAVE database in 3 days so it was easy after a 2 hour wait.

3/16/2016 All arrive in Chicago from Vietnam. Son passes customs with flying colors. Wife is delayed for 3.5 hours. Homeland Security lets us go with no questions... amazing. We miss our connections and get home thankfully at 1AM

4/11/2016 Package with Applications Send Fed Ex Overnight to Chicago and FedEx confirms delivery on 4/12/2016

4/26/2016 Received 3 emails and 3 text with Acceptance of confirmation of 3 applications. NOA1 Date 4/25/2016 WHAT IS GOING ON CHICAGO? Took 10 days longer than last time to just receive mail

4/27/2016 Check is cashed. Still can't look up Receipt Numbers on Case Status online at USCIS.GOV WHAT IS GOING ON?????

5/25/2016 Walk in for a "junior" Biometrics for an 11 year old (supposedly not required). Oops wrote down the wrong day, appointment was for 5/23/2016. USCIS office was nice and accepted us 2 days late.

7/13/2016 Finally the Check Status Website worked. Approved EAD and AP. Website still not working on AOS Green Card Application. No email notification at all....

7/15/2016 Card for EAD mailed. Card is for both EAD and AP. Received 7/19/2016. Waiting now for AOS Interview or Green Card Approval

7/19/2016 The USCIS.GOV is now working for our AOS application. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Seems others have access to USCIS.GOV Check Case now. Glitch fixed?

8/15/2016 I-485 Approved. Status now Card/Document Production

8/20/2016 GREEN CARD DELIVERED -118 Days K-2 Process complete, see y'all on Lifting Conditions board in a year or so

With your AOS completion date of Feb 2016, how is it possible that you're already at ROC 10 months after? What am I missing? LOL :blink:

How did so many people get their NOA1 within 1-3 days? i dont understand

Because we're putting down the day the NOA1 was issued, not when it was received at our places of residence.

Hope it makes sense now.

Hi all!!!

i am popping in as i have a question about the ROC process.....

My Green Card expires on March 17, 2017, so should be filing my ROC on December 17, 2016. My question is....

My husband, daughter and myself will be flying to Toronto to spend New Years with my family. My husband returning to California early January (for work) while myself and our daughter will be returning at the end of the January.

So.....should I be waiting till I return to California to file my ROC or should I file on December 17? And if I do file on December 17th, is it safe to travel while my documents are being processed?

I appreciate any advice, opinions etc!!

You will have a VALID green card until it expires in March. This means that even if you start the ROC process, you're going to be fine going in and out of the country, even without your NOA1 extension letter.

What would concern me personally is that CSC seems to be speeding up in issuing biometrics appointments, which means you may be issued one prior to your return to CA. That would be the only thing worth considering.

Day 88 - Feb 04 2020 : Interview and Test (8:00 AM) 😃 (approved on the spot! Waiting for Oath Ceremony Date)

Day 89 - Feb 05 2020 : Had to take photo and finger prints again as system was down during interview and test (7:15 AM at same location as interview).

Day 89 - Feb 05 2020 : Received email and text from USCIS that Oath Ceremony date/time/location details has been mailed out.

Day 110 - Feb 26 2020 : Oath Ceremony (8:00 AM)!  🎉🎊🇺🇸 - Registered to vote + applied for U.S Passport!

Not that I need to, but I second Nikkosan's reply!

Validation, ALWAYS a good thing!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.
