Approval of Green card, NOA Date Nov. 17, 2016!!! Woohoo! now on to N-400 and citizenship for my wife! Thanks to all for the support! Hopefully more to come!

After over a year of filing the I-751 my husband received the letter of approval. We were not asked to interview as we provided as much information as possible. No immigration officers at our house. F

I just had my combined interview. I passed the tests but the system was down so they said checked in a few days but I should be approved. They never asked about my wife whereabouts, so she need not attend.

 

Here is how it went:

I was asked for bank statements from 2017/2018 as well as the latest tax filing.

I had to sign a statement saying that my green card was confiscated (have to take to the oath ceremony) and that if I receive a new card, I will return it in the mail.

Took the test (6 questions, 1 read statement and 1 write statement)

Then I was asked a series of questions about my affiliations, myself and my wife.

After that confirm my info and name change (if any).

 

Took a notice that I have been through the interview and the statement and left. 

 

 

I received 2 updates just now:

I-751: Your name was updated

N-400: oath ceremony will be scheduled

Congrats! You are over it finally !

So for the tax filing, our latest tax filing paper was 2016 tax return as we didn't reach this year's filing for 2017. Did you provide them just 2016 tax return transcript?

I see, we sent everything to CPA. Now only have 2 foms from CPA that listed both of our name (filing joint), and estimated tax amount on particuar month of 2017. Do you think those are enough to bring for 2017 tax when I go to combo interview later on?

Our joint bank account doesn't have too many statement, my husband pays for all the household. We only use that for traveling, so each month balance remains almost the same. Do you have any suggestions how many joint bank statement should I bring?

I did one every 3 months. March, June, September and December

Oohmygosh!!! Congradulations....

Looking at the app the case above and below mine both got approve and mine skipt. I dont know if that a sign of a REF to come!
