Yesterday DHS director announced increased of H-2B visa counts by 15k, which means they want to collect more money while delaying all others submitted petitions. I don't mind they delay the process, however they need to communicate the information about I-551 Stamp in the passport is a valid extension to all carriers. Some of us have been facing challenges/stresses/anxious while trying to visit family and business trips oversea.

This is really bad!!! from 17.5-19 months now became 18-20 months? What are they trying to achieve? I am not sure if there is case or class action suit for mental/psychology damage here? in their Historical Processing time summary, it indicated Q1 2018 is 14.9 months for I-751... https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt

I agree! It's ridiculous, how can they keep going back, this is so depressing... :(

There are too many, way too many RFE issued, which double their workloads for these cases. I think in average they have issued RFE for >10% of the cases. Not sure if there is really the case or just bcoz they want "extreme wetting". I would rather they just schedule the interviews, instead sending back and forth for the documents for RFEs, and the employees have to review AGAIN!..

Its funny bcoz i told my friend that i just need to wake up them you are dec filer and still not approve maybe our box will notice, then found out shes approved just yesterday.😀😀

Sorry for the confusion i called the uscis and sent inquiries before i contacted our senator.

Agree with that. I just sent the whole kitchen trash to them (my file was roughly 1000 pages), I had to use two of those 8 inch ACCO fastners. Since my spouse was much older than me and having I-485 stroke interview, it prompted me to do this. More RFEs means more delays, more inquirys which will delay this process even more if there is no magic.

Even backlog transfer is not helping them improve their processing time even though majority of NOV files are approved from CSC and JAN/FEB filers of those transfers are approved.

I absolutely agree RFE does nothing but delay the process. Do you guys think they RFE a great % to reduce the amount of interview they actually have to do ? So far I have not seen anyone got interview unless they filed N-400..

In my own words, I think RFE is more like USCIS saying 'yes we believe that marriage is real but you didn't provide enough evidence'. But 'Interview' is like 'there is something about this case that sounds off, let's bring couple together'. But N-400 is whole different story and it can take more or short time depending upon your local office backlog and some luck. I think if you provide what they want for RFE as long as you have those, you will be eventually approved.

Are you guys suggesting that they don't actually approve RFE cases and it's simply extra work load since they almost always interview those cases?

I got an RFE and working on sending my docs over. I'm not too worried about it because my marriage is in good faith so it's only matter of time that they find out.

Nope, that's not what I mean. from the record, it seems most RFE cases are approved.

after almost 19 months of waiting I just noticed that on May 31st they send me and RFE, I checked my online account that's how I found out so disappointed I would have never expected that, we sent plenty of solid evidence but I guess it wasn't convincing enough I cannot think what else could they possibly want from us? Not all are bad news though today my wife and I found out that we are expecting out 2nd child I will definitely send them that information and hopefully get approved right after, now if that is not enough evidence then god help me!!!!!😢😢😢
