Super confused !!

So my interview was supposed to be on may 25th for N 400. my I-751 status updated like crazy for a few days i got a letter said my case was transferred to a new office. on may 5th i received a letter  from California said my case was transferred to new office then on May 7th my case updated to interview was scheduled for n 400. and when i checked the mail today it has a very weird kind of letter said G-56 (Call in notice) with the local office address reason saying i-751 interview. bring bank statements photos etc etc to the interview. it didn't mention interview for n 400. Is it normal or i just received this letter because of some problem? does anybody knows what is G56 form.

People with combined n400 and I751 pending have been going alone expecting to be n400 interview only, this is just their rushed way to tell you its a combo interview. Take your spouse and proof

Thank you for your reply. what is the difference between An ISO i believe (Immigration Service Officer) or regular IO why i have to ask for ISO when i get there its mention on the letter to ask for ISO.

IO is just an online abbreviation for forums, I doubt it has any mentions in official documents and letters. Officially it has an extra word. IO is the same as ISO.

Its a strange letter indeed. Def a locally rushed letter due to spouses showing up alone with a pending I751 though

I'm 11/09 and still waiting.. so yes the order is not symmetrical. +my file was huge so may be they put at the bottom or something. I will create a request once they pass 11.09 date.

Maybe. If I recall correctly, our package was ~500 pages. Perhaps the large cases get processed last.

Are the last two digits of your case number in the high range (>20)? I wonder if they process cases 0 - 15/20 in 17.5 months and then the rest have to wait for 19 months.

ROC (CSC)

  • 11/21/2016 - Package sent
  • 11/22/2016 - Package received
  • 11/29/2016 - Check cashed
  • 11/30/2016 - Two NOA1 letters received (NOA1 date: 11/22/2016)
  • 12/08/2016 - Bio-metrics appointment letter received
  • 12/22/2016 - Bio-metrics appointment (12/09/2016 - early walk-in)
  • 02/25/2018 - We received your case
  • 02/26/2018 - We received your case
  • 05/18/2018 - Status changed to New Card Is Being Produced

500 pages, I guarantee you no one looked at your file and said “wow this person is ready, I like this person”

at best their reaction was “omg I hate this job, who sends this much paper”

their worst reaction might be “send this file to the investigative unit, they might be trying to hide something or distract with all this paper”.

Especially since they are obligated to look at every page incase some of these pages are like a horrible criminal record pages tucked in the middle.

People dont do this. Dont send 500 pages, any reasonable person know that this is just wrong, its as painfully obvious as this process itself.

If you’re on your last chance before deporation from a judge strike, go ahead and send every piece of paper you have gotten in your life.

If you’re in a straight forward case filing jointly, have some reason, for the sake of the employees, yourself and your follow filers

Just a quick update.  After such a long and tiring process it amazes me how fast things moved along after they began working the case.  Last Saturday I received the text that said the Card had been ordered.  Monday was updated to Case Approved (yeah, a bit backwards). Wednesday was we received the approval letter in the mail (hooray).  Thursday update said card was mail USPS Express.  Today the green card for my wife arrived!!

Wow.  6 days from the first notice we received in 18 months, we get the GC in the mail.  All this stress, waiting, infopass appointments, etc, ....all over a simple back log. Which is frustrating given that we PAY for this service.  That all said, feels great to have the GC in hand, and I post this to encourage those still waiting that once things start moving the process does go quickly!!

So I am one of those who received the notice in mail from them stating that my I-751 has been transferred to national benefit center in lee's summit, missouri.   This sucks and there is no doubt that applying for n-400 has delayed the removal of conditions process.  My WAC is 17040******.   Does anyone have any clue what can we expect from the national benefit center in terms of timelines?   My dates are as follows:

applied for i751 removal of conditions - november 2016, NOA november 9th, 2016

applied for n-400  - november 2017

no interview thus far on n400 nor i751.
