I will include some sort of cover letter.

No militay service - she is a girl.

I am not sur i need to send police record, court record, birth certificates, DS157, I 34 and supporting evidence with Packet 3. I was thinking she can bring it to the interview.

SanFrancisco-BKK,

Start reading elsewhere - DS-156 and DS-156k do not get sent back to the consulate. They are turned in at the interview.

Well, the check list for Embassy website

http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/services/visa...heck%20list.pdf

specificaly ask not to send anything but the marked and signed checklist.

Now, the checklist embassy sends to people is an older one.

http://web.archive.org/web/20040327081840/...sl-1076_eng.pdf

Here they ask to send DS230, DS156, and 156k.

That why I am confused.

SanFrancisco,

I agree that the checklist that is sent in the visa application package could be a lot more clear, but read what it does say more carefully. In the first step is clearly says to send DS-230-I back to the consulate. At the end, following the signed statement, it indicates that the signed statement must be sent to the consulate before an interview will be scheduled.

The second step says to fill out DS-156 and DS-156K, but it does not say to send them to consulate. So it is not as clear as the instructions posted on the web site, but neither does in contradict them.

Ok,

Agree, no need to send 156 and 156k.

Now, form this form which was send by BKK embassy in one of the recent Package 3:

http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s232/jo...ot/USA_II_3.jpg

1. Copy of passport photo page

2. Two photographs (50mm x 50mm)

are also require to be submitted before interview.

So, here is a final list:

1. DS 230 Part 1

2. Two photographs

4. Copy of the passport photo page

5. Check list.

What do you think?

SanFrancisco-BKK.

That is my understanding of the current procedure.

Point of clarification on the checklist: it's not the checklist per se, it's the signed statement on the last page indicating that the applicant has everything they need and is ready for the interview that they are looking for.

Yodrak

So, here is a final list:

1. DS 230 Part 1

2. Two photographs

5. Check list.
