Ran into some issues... Security of Mailing Address / Another Ustraveldocs account already has passport number

I got NOA2 on K1, but the mailing address thing for my fiancee is a concern, she lives alone in hutou and no mailboxes, her door is right on walking street, just concerned if packet 3 etc could get lost, and even worse a passport.

She originally used her business office as her mailing address, but she took a buyout recently and no longer employed. I saw somewhere that you can set passports up to be sent to a CITIC bank nearby (she is in Beijing)? correct?

My previous experience with this was that my former spouse never got P3, it never arrived and was lost in mail, so interview and stuff were provided via the consulate electronically by contacting them thru the email form and she did get passport back luckily via EMS.

The other issue is the UStraveldocs site, this seems to be a new thing now since my last dealings with a visa, is this really required for any items for Guangzhoy by having an account with them? we tried setting it up, but it appears her passport is already used on the site, The account is owned by a travel agency for her 2 year and her 10 year tourist visas. The tour agency responded and said they cannot delete her passport info on it cause it is a business account... what would be the option? hopefully not a new passport....

My wife had this exact same problem, and is very common in China. Your fiancee will need to create a new account, and then call the Embassy and have them remove the passport from the old account, and move it to the new account.

Travel Agency told her to call Visa Service Center to fix it, so I guess she will call the Visa Service Center to remove from old account. we have new account already, but passport is set at 1111111 etc till the real passport number is allowed to be entered.

How about the option to send visa/passport back to Beijing to a CITIC bank, or does it have to go to the actual mailing address? I have not gotten as far on that site, ustraveldocs is the cgi site, so I have read that others say an option is available to set up passport pick up at a CITIC branch correct?

That is correct, the Travel agencys will not do anything to help you, your only recourse is to contact the embassy to have this resolved. Just have her call them and tell them she does not have the credentials to the other account and needs assistance getting her passport updated on her new account.

You can do either. My wife chose to have it delivered to her home, but many people had it sent to a CITIC branch to be picked up in person.

Yes it was all taken care of the Visa Service Center tied her email address to the passport online, so it freed up the account for us to access.

But had to call twice because first time was a SINA server account and those are notorious for never receiving mail (not even into a junk folder), was not getting password reset emails or any confirmation. So she called again to switch to an american email address. She uses sina and the only way to trick sina into accepting an email address on her side was she had to be the first to send the email out, then that address became whitelisted. but if an email from an unknown source outside China came, it would be blacklisted. Not sure if others experience this, but I have read about other sina email uses that they have ran into many issues with sending or receiving emails from foreign sites/addresses.
