1.Please at what point do you submit medical exam when doing AOS from b1/b2 to green card for a parent? At initial submission of documents or at interview. We are in Maryland.

2.Can any physician do that?

3.And is thier an official form from uscis that needs to be filled?

I am filing for my dad who is 4 months today since he visited using b1/b2 . Please can someone guide me on what else I am missing to fill out.

I have filled

1. 1-130( petition for relative)

2. 1-864 (affidavit of support)

3. 1-485 ( adjustment of status)

4. 1-765(employment)

I have both our birth certificate, his marriage certificate and my baptismal certificate. What other supporting docs MAY i add to it?

I am also filing for my mum but she's in my country . Should I submit all above except the 1-485 for her ? Please, help me. The more I research the more confused I get.

Thank you

To answer the top. U can file the medical (form i-693) with the documents or bring it at the interview. Follow the website here:

https://my.uscis.gov/findadocto

Place ur zip code and you have to use a doctor from the list they gave u. It costs about $200-$300. The doctor will typically have the i-693 and they do the filling out.

Also if he is adjusting from b1/b2 you need to file the documents as in you have to send them to USCIS. Usually Chicago lockbox since u are filing concurrently. Search through the website and research. Without filing there will not be a case. Ensure u read all the form instructions that you have listed. All the instructions are on the website and the instructions will tell you what to file with the corresponding form.

If your parent is in the US than you have file these form:

1) i-130 - you will file as the petitioner

2) i-765 - EAD - Employment Authorization

3) i-485

4) g- 325a

5) i-693 - Medical report form

Please follow guide for all these forms, it is provided on USCIS website, as each form is listed there.

Thank you for your response..

I have everything you mentioned above except the medical exams. Can I do that later and take it with him to the interview or Is it best to file all together and submit ones? Can it delay the petition if submitted on interview date.

It is better if you submit everything together, Medical exam - if everything is OK than it only takes couple of days. I think in most cases you get the sealed envelope containing the medical report within three day (pending every medical test is normal)

Thank you for your inputs so far. I just called the doctors office close to me and they said it will cost 730$ for that. Like seriously? They said visit is 300$ and vaccinations 430$. The vaccinations are mandatory . That's weird .

Please what did you do and how much did it cost you!

I just called the civil surgeons around me. Appointments are 1 month away from the 2 offices that I had called.

I am now very confused on what to do. Can I send out the other forms and submit the the medical form late (1-693 ) . I just hope it does not delay the process. Do I wait for a month extra to get my dad do the medicals and then send his applications.

Please what is best? From experienced gurus

Thank you

Hello,

Please I am filing AOS from tourist visa for my dad. I called the civil surgeon in my area. Unfortunately , I have just him within 50 miles away. The next available appointment is December 4th for my dad and that's too far to wait for before submitting other aos documents for status change.

Has anyone done this before. The website says you may submit later but I dont know if this will overly delay the whole process.

Has anyone submitted 1-693 later after initial submission of 1-485/1-130

Thanks
