I have a question about the birth certificate. When we send off the initial I-129F package, do we need to attach the birth certificate of both of us? And do I as the beneficiary need to have mine translated into English? I wouldn't even know where to do that.

Thanks for your help again!

Only the birth certificate of the petitioner is required at the USCIS stage as proof of being a US citizen by birth. Yours will be needed -translated- at the interview stage.

You won't need to translate it at the interview stage either unless you are interviewing at an embassy that not your own (for example, you are a German national and will interview in Italy because you are residing there). You will need to translate it for the Adjustment of Status after you are here and after you've gotten married.

Amsterdam required a translated birth certificate. It happens.

Mhm if I need it in any case at some point, I might as well do it for the interview. I'd rather have it with me then not.
