NVC CR1 Supervisor Review

I just called today to check our status, it's been about 5 1/2 weeks since our scan date at the NVC. The lady on the phone told us it should have been processed yesterday but since it hadn't she was sending it for Supervisor Review.

Any recent experiences with the Supervisor Review process? Was it fast, or took longer? Any tips for speeding it up, such as calling and asking for supervisor?

I've had no RFEs yet, knock on wood, but USCIS still took 7 months to approve my case... how long ago did you start the whole thing?

My NVC scan date is 9/30... close behind you all.

Started my process in March and it didn't get approved at the USCIS stage until August (5 months to be exact)

Wow, you guys are lucky. Our case USCIS took only about 2 months. The NVC is a nightmare. Originally received in early May. 4 1/2 weeks just to find out we were missing the last page. Resent it in (received August 11) and then 6 weeks, nothing. Told it was going to a supervisor. 6 weeks this Friday, still nothing. Our supervisor review request date was September 23. Told it will go Monday to another supervisor and given another 6 weeks!

I have tried to talk to a supervisor many times. Every time I am put on hold for 5 mins and then told no supervisor is available. It is horrible how they think it is ok to screw around with people's lives so much. I am a single mom with two kids. My husband cannot send money because of laws prohibiting sending money outside of his country to anyone, they don't care I am his wife. I need my husband here.

I just called them and found out our case was in administrative processing from October 2 until yesterday (November 1). They do not work on the case at all until it is out of administrative processing. So it goes back to a supervisor tomorrow and the 6 weeks starts again. My suggestion, do not call during the daytime. Make sure you get the night staff. They know enough to check for administrative processing which is a different screen.

Thanks for the tip! I did talk to day staff today but they had little to say, I'll try the night staff.
