Hello, What a great forum. Being a non techy I was unaware You could get on this site before you received you first NOA. I plan to travel back to Cebu Philippines at the end of the month. If I have not received my second NOA by then should/can I take a copy of the I-129 with me? I am concerned about the mail getting through because letters have not arrived already.

Welcome to the forum.

Make sure of the form you submitted. B-)

Form I-129 = Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker

Form I-129F = Petition for a Foreign Fiance(e) K1 Visa

Look at processing times, you may not have your petition approved in 30 or even 60 days, it typically takes longer.

Good luck on your Immigration journey.

Hand deliver - its the best way - or FEDEX..... they are about $120ish for a good sized package of docs.... and reliable.

I HOWEVER did not want my social security and mothers maiden name floating around the Philippines due to those are primary sources of identification that we commonly use for EVERYTHING.

A lost G-325a floating around the Philippines and you are asking to be rolled over a barrel financially.

I scanned all 180 pages of my i129F (front loaded it with a pallet of LEAD) which came to be about a 200MB sized PDF. I loaded that on an encrypted USB stick (8GB is good - you cant find much smaller anymore)

She can flip thru that all day long. If the FEDEX driver gets carjacked or decides to quit and take your USB with him - no problem because all of your data is on the USB stick which is encrypted.

I plan to be there for her during the interview - and I will bring the ORIGINAL packet with all ORIGINAL docs to the interview in person. I just have to make sure Im on that flight. :dancing:

Agreed with Pitaya.

Just check the form is correct (probably just was a typo but valid non the less).

We had our NOA2 in 48 days; but you can never estimate your own approval time on anyone else's, as everyone's case is unique.

Also, just remember later on after the NOA2/NVC phase, unless you'll be accompanying your fiance to the interview, you will need to FedEx original documents and such for the I-134 portion.

I would just go and enjoy Cebu and time with your SO and not worry too much right now about the wait time.

:ot: (Have you gone swimming with the whale sharks? Was quite amazing when I did it years back)

Thank you all for you responses, they are very helpful. Yes I did submit I-129F and Have received our first notice of action. Since out timeline indicates: Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between November 17, 2016 and November 21, 2016* and I travel on the 25th I plan on taking the package with me as that way Marisa will have the majority of what is needed.

Based on this adjudication date what timeline should we expect for the next step weather we are ask to provide more information or our 2nd NOA is approved?

To answer Ben and Zain, yes swimming with whale sharks was exciting. Our picture was taken not far from there where we went canyoneering at Kawasan Falls, That was awesome!

Thanks again
