Hi dear all,

Despite sending several pictures (different places and dates), evidence of intent of marriage, passport stamps, itineraries, G-325a forms, divorce decrees fully signed, passport photos, how we met document, US citizenship evidence, etc. We fot a RFE, that is very sad.

We are on a continuous relationship since 2014, we have seen/visited each other more than 7 times.

Maybe our age (he 45 and me 33) is the cause. I have no clue.

??????????

Don't be upset. It can be something as simple as a signature was missing. Don't drive yourself crazy trying to figure out what it is (I know how it feels I did it lol). Good luck!!

It has nothing to do with your age.

It can be as simple as a little box there is not ticket off. You'll just have to wait til the hardcopy comes and then hopefully it's an easy fix so you guys can reply fast.

We just got an RFE as well --- my birth certificate wasn't up to snuff (despite it saying that it was long form).

It would've been less than 30 days to NOA2 .... is it true that it will take an extra month to process now thanks to the RFE? This is the worst :(

It depends on the person who has your case. Some get approved right after the response and others a bit after.

Dear, in the list of items for I-129f the birth certificate (beneficiary) was not request. Should it be included as documentation support???? Thank you ?

I'm the petitioner, not the beneficiary. I don't believe that the beneficiary needs to have one (but don't quote me on that).

It is best to wait for the hard copy RFE notice, you will then know the specific evidence they want. You can then accurately and promptly respond to the request and be back on track. To speculate on the reason without the hard copy notice only causes anxiety.

Amen to that. Just reading about THEIR RFE has me checking under the bed for the boogeyman. I hate this process. :protest:

It can be anything...be glad you got it it's a chance to fix the error vs them just denying.

Look at it as a chance not a bad thing ;) most RFE are simple human error.

Did you send two letters of intent to marry one for each of you?

Sometimes a piece of paper is overlooked or lost that someone knows for sure they included. It happens.

It seems that RFEs are becoming common. However don't panic, just prepare tehinfromation that needs to be sent once you get your hard copy and look forward to your petition moving forward.

Try not to worry to much. Yes, they give a long period. BUT!! Usually they give that much time because what is requested might need time to get and sent in from beneficiary's country. So they give a lot of time so you don't lose out on your case. With that said our RFE was just a copy of his birth certificate. We sent it over night and from time received hard copy and we sent it to them and they entered the date received was like 5 days total. So don't worry in most cases it's pretty simple request.
