I sent my I-129F packet on October 5th. They received it the next day, and my case was approved on October 28th! 12 DAYS!! I didn't think it would be that fast. Good Luck!!

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

I just sent mine in last week and it was received Thursday the 27th. I was wondering roughly how long before I get a receipt that they received it, and how long before the check clears.

I believe that it takes from 1-2 weeks to receive the NOA1 but in some cases it has taken up to a month. Just check if your check was cashed out, and if it was I would recommend calling the office

You should get it tomorrow. Mine was received Oct 26th and I got the text and email yesterday.

Stop checking your phone every 30 seconds or you will get sent to the funny farm. I had three different people comment on it - "What do you have a hot date?"

I am hoping that my approval will go thru very quickly. I already carry a Homeland Security clearance, so they don't have to do much legwork checking on me. She works in a government legal aid office and has for several years. She has never been married, has no kids, and has never left the PI. My goal is to be ready to buy the plane ticket in February, but who knows what the government will do. We will just have to wait and see.

I just got the notification from the USCIS that they received it and will now forward it off to Calif. They gave me the case#. I want to update my timeline, but I am not sure what this is listed as. Would this e-mail be the NOA1, or is that when I get the notice in the mail?

Hi Hal Tech 007, the DATE on the actual paper NOA 1 is what you want to use.

Congrats on the progress.

Also you may want to update your time line to take it off Armenia. Philippines is there if your gal is from PHilippines it may be listed as Manila, Philippines.

I had changed it from Armenia some time ago. Not sure how Armenia returned to my timeline. Oh well, I removed it again.
